President Trump and House Majority leader Representative Nancy Pelosi continue to spar over the terms to reopen the longest government shut down in history as more than 800,000 federal employees are poised to miss the payroll deadline again.

According to Gallup, President Trump job approval, for the month of January 2019, decreased one percentage point to 37% of those polled who approve of his effectiveness as President and those who disapprove of his effectiveness as President increased by three percentage points to 59%.

Trump/Gov Shut Down

With the lives and livelihoods of more than 800,000 federal employees hanging in the balance, the longest government shut down in history has become nothing more than a size contest between parties as each seek to determine which is more endowed.

As the prowess of our party leaders and president continue to take its toll on the American people, families, and children, veterans and the president moved forward with a new proposed budget.

The following is part of the Trump Budget proposal:

Asking for $5.7 billion to fund a steel barrier system, including embedded investments in technology and roads, on our southern border in the priority areas cited by Border Patrol. This is in addition to the more than 115 miles of barriers already built, replaced, or contracted under President Trump.

(The details of the embedded technologies have not been revealed nor has the extent or design of the steel barrier system).

The budget, which has been rejected by House leader Nancy Pelosi, can be read in its entirety here.

Border/Immigrants

A new group of Central America immigrants are making their way to the join the ever growing group of immigrants at the US border. The continued wave of illegal immigrants can't seem to understands the United States does not have an open door policy.

These people who have traveled a long distance, often believing the treachery of those who promise safe passage, guarantee admittance in exchange for more money than most of these people earn annually. They pay in the hopes of making it to the promised land. Many on the dangerous trip are injured, raped or killed with their children ripped from their arms enslaved by the few that prey on the innocence of others.

Europe Strong - Still and Always

The US Border is the end of the line. For the few moments they wait in deportation centers they may touch the promised land. Permanent entrance is only available through designated means at designated points of entry.

The policies of illegal immigration have plagued every administration over the last forty years and undoubtedly administration over the next forty will continue to deal with the policies of The Border.

ISIS Attack/Retaliation

The Islamic State, while crippled by both the current administration and the sixty nation coalition brought together under the Obama-Biden administration, managed to wage an suicide bombing attack in a Manbij restaurant killing four Americans and wounding 15 others.

Vice President Pence released this statement after learning of the devasting attack, "President Trump and I condemn the terrorist attack in Syria that claimed American lives and our hearts are with the loved ones of the fallen. We honor their memory and we will never forget their service and sacrifice."

North Korea’s Cheap Diplomacy Satiates President Trump

Three of the victims were US military and one female a military contractor. Adding to the concerns that a total military withdraw is too soon and could allow the pause necessary for the Islamic State to regroup with safe haven provided by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Operation Roundup or Operation Regroup

The suicide bombing came less than fifteen days after the US escalated the bombing along the eastern Syrian border, a stronghold for the Islamic State terrorist organization.

"The fiercest attacks in the past week occurred in Al Kashmah, a village on the Euphrates River near the border with Iraq, according to three sources in eastern Syria. Amid US air attacks and artillery fire by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), civilians and family members of ISIL fighters fled to villages to the south, the sources said. While Al Kashmah has not yet fallen, the only people remaining there are fighters representing what has become the front line of the war against ISIL in Deir Az Zor province," Aljazeera.com reported.

With intensive bombing raids occurring over the Christmas holidays into the New Year, the US led attacks targeted known strongholds of what is being called the remnants of the Islamic State. Most understand ISIS/ISIL hides itself, entrenching in civilian areas. The region suffering the greatest devastation villages along the Euphrates Rivers which is also home to 50,000 to 60,000 civilians, along with hospitals and other simple necessities that those of the region hope to survive on while Trump and the US led coalition continues to force ISIS to surrender.

troop Withdraw Not Supported

Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell, (R-KY) has voiced his opinion on the President's autonomous decision for a complete withdraw of American troops. Senator Lindsey Graham, (R-SC) has also voiced his opinion, of the President plan for a complete withdrawal of US military troops in the region, likening the exit will produce and "Iraq on Steroids."

The troop withdrawal would fulfill a campaign promise. Conceivably the president could continue drone strikes from US military installation allowing for a presence while not keeping boots on the ground.

The reign of ISIS, which President Trump believes has ended, experiencing a crushing defeat under his administration, may simply be lying low as this attack in Manbij is the second since the announcement by the Trump administration of complete troop withdrawal.

"Thanks to the courage of our Armed Forces, we have crushed the ISIS caliphate and devastated its capabilities. As we begin to bring our troops home, the American people can be assured, for the sake of our soldiers, their families, and our nation, we will never allow the remnants of ISIS to reestablish their evil and murderous caliphate – not now, not ever," Vice President Pence also said in his statement.

Women's March Number Three

The annual Women's March, conceived in protest over the election of Donald Trump, again took to the streets in cities and towns across America, standing for equality across the board, while fighting the dissension within the ranks.

While the structural collapse appeared to be the furthest details from the minds of the masses who showed up wearing pink hats, braving inclement weather, holding signs painted with the cause of choice. Estimates in total, while less than the first year which saw millions of women, their children and partners standing in unity, were still strong and formidable.

France Macron and France Yellow Vests

The recent revelations of original organizer, Tamika Mallory standing with Louis Farrakhan, Jr., and his anti-Semitic statements were enough for many of the organized groups to withdraw support.

The implosion was exactly the ticking time-bomb the current administration needed as they head into the 2020 re-election season.

The current Women's March leadership must return to the roots of the original message in order to repair the damage, which could have very well been a strategic effort from male leadership to dismantle the strength of the organization.

Ms. Mallory thrust into the spotlight, an African American champion, became the take over target of those who wished to keep the status quo in place. Endorsing Farrakhan endorses his radical belief system, skewed doctrine, positions and principals and essentially enslaves those who follow.

Without a formal apology or released communication explaining her exit from the brotherhood the movement must take decisive action to regain the power which caused a collective pause in business as usual three years ago.

PM Theresa May Survives after Brexit Defeat

Britain's Prime Minister Theresa May held firm throughout the week as her Brexit deal suffered one of the worst defeats in Parliament history and came back to survive a no-confidence challenge by Tory party leader Jeremy Corbyn.

With the clock ticking on Brexit, Ms. May has remained stubbornly unyielding to any idea or suggestion of a second referendum or any other methods available to stop this out of control train wreck.

After three years of intense negotiations, the deal the European Union has finally arrived at seems to short change the British people. The PM has repeatedly voiced the complexities of the deal on the Sunday Talk Show circuit.

Parliament, while continuing to damn the deal has yet to offer workable solutions to move the process ahead.

The Healthcare Revolution: More Choices, Not More Taxes

Allowing for the possibility the British people have changed their minds, as people often do, should be foundation enough to allow for the possibility that the bigger picture, the unknown reasonings, are as simple as the positions of the populous has changed.

As for the PM the roller coaster ride of last week appears, unless there is a radical change either in government, the Brexit deal or the looming exit date, to be the order of business until one or the other determined forces give way.
