"42nd Street Moon is producing FOLLIES in Concert," explains director Daren A.C. Carollo, "because it is one of Sondheim's best scores, it is rarely produced, and because we have the dream team creating our production. The orchestra consists of 25 awesome instrumentalists. The cast is full of the strongest actors in the Bay Area. Our production team is prepared to make you laugh, weep, and leap to your feet. Every time I dive into the script or score, I make a new discovery. I can't describe how much that energizes me. These characters are deep and complex and I see a bit of myself in each of them. I think most of our audience will as well."

At once a love letter to the classic musicals of the 1930s and a reflection on the loss of innocence, FOLLIES is a true theatrical event. Moon is proud to bring this beautiful and luscious score to the concert stage with a 25-piece orchestra and the best talent the Bay Area has to offer. Featuring many of Sondheim's best-known songs, including "Broadway Baby," "Losing My Mind," and "I'm Still Here," FOLLIES is considered by critics and audiences alike to be one of the best musicals ever written.
