Details Emerge in Gabby Petito Missing Person Case

New details emerge in disappearance of Gabby Petito, 22, of Long Island, NY, who along with her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, were recording their cross-country road trip adventures when the pair were involved in a domestic violence dispute.

Moab, Utah police released the body cam footage of the pair, which showed a distraught Petito answering questions on domestic violence and the subsequent separation order issued by Moab police, which kept the pair apart for 24hours.

Petito was reported missing September 11, 2021, when her mother contacted local police in Suffolk Country New York, and explained the last known contact with her daughter was August 24, 2021. She explained she received two messages after, but because she didn't speak with Gabby directly she is unable to confirm the messages were really from her.

Laundrie, 23, returned to Florida, where the pair had been living, alone and did not report Petito missing and initially referred all questions to an attorney he engaged.
