Queen Breaks Long Standing Fiancée Tradition Invites Meghan Markle To Join Family

Newly engaged Prince Harry and his American actress fiancée, Meghan Markle, spent the Christmas Holidays attending the traditional Christmas Service at The Queen's Sandringham estate along with other members of the royal family.

Well-wishers lined the walkway to the capture a glimpse of the couple who walked along side Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

Royal watchers lined the traditional half-mile walk and were not disappointed as the Queen's entire family, HRH Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex along with their wives, children and extended family were all attending Christmas Church services before the Queen's holiday family gathering.

The Queen, did however, steal the show as she arrived later in a beautiful and vivid orange coat and matching hat with an simple yet elegant floral arrangement. A three stand of pearls were visible with matching earrings and a diamond encrusted brooch.

Prince Harry, 33, and Markle, 36, have been making headlines around the world as the Royal Family continues to break traditions allowing the newly betrothed Markle, the first ever, to attend the family gathering at Sandringham.

Controversy at the Queen's Christmas Lunch

The recent round of introductions and Holiday gatherings have not been without controversy as the wife of Queen Elizabeth's first cousin, Princess Michael of Kent, surprised the world with her choice of accessory at the Queen's annual Christmas Lunch that included Markle.

The sapphire and gold encrusted brooch, depicting a regal and turbaned Blackamoor Princess, was seen and photographed on the coat of the controversial Princess. Blackamoor Jewelry originate from 16Century Venice. The brooch, which the representatives for Princess Michael explained, "had been wore many times in the past."

She has since apologized for any perceived racial, ethnic or cultural slurs which the media was quick to pronounce.

Wedding Plans in Full Swing

After His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales announced through an official press release the couple had become engaged earlier in November.


The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Expecting Third Child; Queen Sends Condolences to Houston

Kensington Palace announced the wedding date will be May 19, 2018 and held at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Ms. Markle will, however, take some time off prior to her upcoming nuptials to spend time with her family in America.

As the date approaches expect more details to be released.
