Fotis Dulos, Suspected Murderer of Estranged Wife, Attempted Suicide

The case of missing Connecticut mom Jennifer Dulos who disappeared May 2019, has taken another surprising turn today, as ex-husband and prime suspect in her murder, Fotis Dulos, attempted suicide today at his home in Connecticut.

Dulos was found unresponsive at his Connecticut home after he failed to appear at an emergency bail hearing in which it would be decided if his bail would be revoked as financial questions have arisen as to whether the collateral used to guarantee the six million dollar bond was sufficient.

Police arrived on the scene and after receiving nor response performed a wellness check in which they saw the alleged murder slumped over in his vehicle. They broke into the garage and pulled him into the fresh air and perform life saving measures. He has since been transferred to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, where is listed in critical condition.

Dulos is the prime suspect in the murder of his estranged wife, Jennifer who was last seen dropping her five children off for school on May 24, 2019. Later than evening police found her empty vehicle and evidence of a violent physical struggle which left blood splatter on the inside of her 2017 Black Chevrolet Suburban.

Dulos who had been involved in a contentious divorce with her husband of 14 years, had one more than one occasion filed for an Emergency Order of Protection, which was denied, indicting he was dangerous and she believed her life was in danger and he would go after her family. The couple had five children, who have, since their mother’s disappearance, been staying with their grandmother.

After nearly a year of investigation, Connecticut police moved forward arresting Fotis Dulos, on Murder, Felony Murder and Kidnapping in the First degree, and his girlfriend, Michelle Troaconis, on Conspiracy to Commit Murder and his civil attorney Kent Mawhinney on the same charges.
