True Crime Drama "The Dougherty Gang" Casts The Whole Gang

"The Dougherty Gang," is based on a true story and the GQ article "The Whole True Story of the Dougherty Gang" by Kathy Dobie. Written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sean McEwen, The Dougherty Gang is his second directorial feature film.

Having also shepherded as a producer a number of hit films including: "Another Happy Day," "Bernie" "Graceland" and "Punching Henry, " McEwen will be working with an incredible cast for this ripped from the headlines true crime drama that includes Emory Cohen, India Eisley, Sam Strike, Tess Harper, Cory Hardrict, and Treat Williams.


AFI Fest 2018 Presented By Audi Announces An Evening With Nicole Kidman

Starring Emory Cohen ("Brooklyn," "The Place Beyond the Pines" "War Machine"), India Eisley (Patty Jenkins "I Am The Night," "Underworld: Awakening," "The Secret Life of the American Teenager"), and Sam Strike ("Timeless," "Leatherface," "EastEnders"), as three siblings whom embark on a cross-country crime spree, hoping to start a new life across the border. 

Tess Harper ("No Country For Old Men," "Tender Mercies," "Crimes of the Heart"), meets them on their journey, while Cory Hardrict ("American Sniper," "Warm Bodies," "Battle Los Angeles"), and Treat Williams ("Chicago Fire," Deep Rising," "Blue Bloods") work to bring them to justice. 

A joint production from the teams at Narrator Entertainment, Big Cat Productions and Charlie Baby Productions the film begins lensing later this month. The film is written & directed by McEwen, and produced by McEwen, Cassidy Lunnen ("Whaling," "Baby Baby Baby"), Alexandre Dauman ("One Dollar," "Summer 03"), John Papsidera (as casting director: "Westworld," "The Dark Knight"), and Executive produced by Takashi Cheng ("Whaling") and co-produced by Danyelle Foord ("Summer 03"), Jessica Wilde ("Whaling," "Baby Baby Baby").

Alexandre began his career at Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment in 2010, and over the course of six years worked his way up to the VP, Motion Pictures. While there, Alexandre developed, produced and/or oversaw movies including Lowriders, a drama set in East LA starring Oscar-nominated actor Demian Bichir; American Made starring Tom Cruise and directed by Doug Liman, a Universal/Blumhouse Tilt release; Pele: Birth of a Legend, written and directed by the Zimbalist brothers; and The Good Lie, starring Reese Witherspoon; among others. While at Imagine, Danyelle worked as Alexandre's assistant for two years and helped in the development of these projects as well. Previous to that, Danyelle worked for Aaron Kaplan at Kapital Entertainment, where she helped develop numerous television shows such as Life in Pieces (CBS), Santa Clarita Diet (Netflix), and Divorce (HBO).
