"This year, the Denver Film Festival comes to you," says Festival Director, Britta Erickson. "In terrific times, and in challenging ones, the Denver Film Festival has stood strong for 42 years — and this year will be no exception. We are honored and excited to bring this world-class cinema experience to you."

"Denver Film has, and will always be, at the forefront of delivering programming, diversity, and accessibility for our audiences," said Denver Film CEO, James Mejia. "Despite the health and safety challenges presented by Covid and the disappointment of not being able to offer our regular Sie FilmCenter screenings or in-person screenings for the 43rd Denver Film Festival, our team is incredibly proud of the work we've achieved to expand, reinvent, and curate diverse offerings for our audiences over the past several months.

Our audiences now have the opportunity to experience, enjoy, and engage in film through our exclusive Virtual Cinema platform, as well as, small group rentals of our Sie FilmCenter theaters, Film on the Rocks – Drive-In, Women+Film series, CinemaQ, and the amazing upcoming lineup of feature films, documentaries, Q&As and much more that have been curated for an extended run of our 43rd Denver Film Festival."

Individual tickets go on sale to Denver Film members Oct. 1 and to the general public Oct. 5. High-level members will be able to purchase their tickets in advance of the public and member on-sale dates. Individual tickets will be available for purchase online at www.denverfilm.org/dff43/.

About Denver Film:

Founded in 1978, Denver Film is a membership-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit cultural institution that produces film events throughout the year, including the award-winning Denver Film Festival and the popular, summertime series Film on the Rocks. With a vision to cultivate community and transform lives through film, the organization provides opportunities for diverse audiences to discover film through creative, thought-provoking experiences.

The permanent home of Denver Film, the Sie FilmCenter, is Denver's only year-round cinematheque, presenting a weekly-changing calendar of first-run exclusives and arthouse revivals both domestic and foreign, narrative and documentary—over 600 per year, all shown in their original language and format. Denver Film programs annually reach more than 200,000 film lovers and film lovers-in-training.

To help protect the health and safety of its guests and staff, the Sie FilmCenter remains closed for regular screenings through the end of 2020. The organization will revisit the situation and evaluate a reopening timeline in early 2021.
