LOS ANGELES – Southern, smart and sassy, Chonda Pierce, is coming your way! Image Entertainment, an RLJ Entertainment (NASDAQ: RLJE) brand, announced the DVD, Digital Download and Video on Demand release of "GIRL TALK" with Chonda Pierce on Dec. 17, 2013.
With her unpretentious Southern charm, laser sharp wit and musical talent, Chonda created an unforgettable night of joy and laughter through a brand new stand-up comedy show. The announcement was made today by Image Entertainment’s Chief Acquisition Officer Bill Bromiley.
“As the highest grossing female comedian of all time, I am confident GIRL TALK will prove to be another hit for Chonda,” said Bromiley. “Her sense of humor coupled with her strong fan base makes this deal a fruitful partnership between Chonda Pierce and Image Entertainment.”
Chonda has authored half a dozen best-selling books, has seven gold certified DVDs, four platinum DVDs and five Emmy nominations for her unforgettable performances. She is a winner of the Comedian of the Year Visionary Award and recently co-hosted the Dove Awards. She is currently embarking on a sold-out nationwide Girl Talk stand-up tour
The deal was negotiated by Jonathan Saba, Executive Producer on Girl Talk and Michael Bayer on behalf of Image Entertainment and RLJ Entertainment and Andrew Tenenbaum on behalf of CMT Productions.
