MoonBall Media launched in February as the first of its kind MLB player-owned media and production company and is led by award-winning producer and former player Anthony Seratelli and World Series Champion Eric Hosmer. "As a young shortstop growing up in the northeast, Cal was an idol of my childhood and future baseball career. It's been an unbelievable honor to connect and partner with him to bring great sports stories to the big screen," said MoonBall Media founder and CEO Anthony Seratelli.

Ripken said, "I am excited to be a part of this unscripted project. Ripken has one of the most recognizable careers in MLB history. Playing 21 seasons with the Baltimore Orioles as their shortstop and third baseman, the Maryland native landed the nickname "Iron Man" for his Major League record setting 2,632 consecutive games and is a staple in the MLB record books as one of only ten players in history to have over 3,000 hits and 400 home runs. In 2007, Ripken was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility with 98.53% of votes, at the time of his election it was the third-highest percentage ever and  the highest percentage at the time  for a position player. Cal's storied career is considered by many to be in the top 15 of all-time.

"They don't come much more legendary than Cal Ripken Jr. It's been exciting to team up with Cal and get this project underway," said World Series Champion and MoonBall Media co-founder Eric Hosmer.
