With all eyes on the newest headliners at Paris’ Fashion Week, a young designer, Armine Ohanyan, debuted her sustainable couture collection, embracing environmental concern she looked to nature to find the inspiration and took a global concern and made beauty.

Armine Ohanyan, took to heart the growing concerns of plastics destroying the eco-systems, on land and in every ocean, every body of water, and through a recycling and redistribution program, which seems to be quite common in Europe was able to secure embroidery created from recycled plastic waste.

The collection, is provocative and alluring and when the story of sustainability enters the picture, it becomes a collection to study.

However, nature is under threat by mankind so the designer draws attention to the causes of its destruction, such as climate change and other pollution on the species, wildlife and the biotope.

The use of new technology as 3D printing, using materials less common in textiles such as silicone and techniques like laser cutting reinforces her creations a modern image, even futuristic, revealing her as the incarnation of the new generation in Haute-Couture.

Thus, when using plastic waste as embroideries and illustrating the alteration of the colors of the aquatic flora, the Designer denounces the stakes of ecology.

The gradation in the garments color pattern is invokes the shades of the ocean as light moves from surface to the solitude of depth.

The flow and movement of the garment comes together to create a skillful harmony. 

This is a new collection represents a majestic aquatic, pristine, life  its intense colors, unique and awe inspiring beauty.

The designer is the new wave of environmental consciousness taking the blight of the plastics crisis and making an exquisite, vibrant, gorgeous collection.
