Beltway Insider: Obama Loyal to France; Hollande Declares War, Airstrikes Begin; G20; Charlie Sheen

President Obama announced his unwavering support for President Hollande and the people of France in the wake of the coordinated terror strikes that shocked the civilized world and accelerated the coalition nation's determination to eradicate terrorism.

According to Gallup, President Obama's job approval, over the past week, increased two percentage points to 50% of those polled who approve of his effectiveness as President and those who disapprove of his effectiveness as President decreased four percentage points to 45%.

Obama, Biden, Declare Loyalty to France; World Unites

President Barack Obama, in a move that reflects the possibility of a change in his soft foreign policy position, has declared his loyalty to President Francois Hollande, and the nation that has stood with the United States, for more than two hundred years.

"We stand prepared and ready to provide whatever assistance that the government and the people of France need to respond.  France is our oldest ally.  The French people have stood shoulder to shoulder with the United States time and again.  And we want to be very clear that we stand together with them in the fight against terrorism and extremism," the President said.

Obama may have pledged the full cooperation of the United States government and his loyalty to the people of France, unfortunately, his recent statements at the G20 indicate his position of ISIS/ISIL, even in the wake of the Paris Massacre remains the same.

The time for coalition building is over, and while peaceful solutions has never been a part of the President's strategy, his lack of action against the barbaric and continued onslaughts of the Islamic Fighters have left many wondering.

The recent announcement, coincidently occurring on the morning of Friday the 13th, indicated the almost certainty of killing Jihad John, the British citizen who made a name for himself as he joined the Islamic State fighters and is known for beheading American journalist James Foley, and others.

Reports directly following the released video of Jihad John murdering Mr. Foley, placing the severed head on his chest for all to see, for the world to witness, was that he had been murdered in a series of air strikes. His murder, or capture, has never been confirmed.

The parents of James Foley issued a statement that all expected to herald the alleged killing as a long deserved retaliation and would in some way return their son to them. They said neither.

Diane Foley indicated her son would be "appalled" at retaliation and the alleged death of Jihad John was of "little solace." She also added, "Violence begets violence."

Vice President Issues Statement

"As we've done before, in the face of dangers and threats, we will look out for one another.  We will stand together.  We will never bow.  We will never break.  That's the character of our two nations.  We are bound by timeless democratic values that the cowardice and perverse ideologues of extremist networks can never match, wherever they are. Such savagery can never threaten who we are. We will respond. We will overcome. We will endure," the Vice President said.

Secretary of Defense Ash Carter Issues Statement

"This evening's horrific and barbaric attacks in Paris were more than an attack on the nation or people of France - they were an assault on our common human dignity. As NATO allies, as leaders of the counter-ISIL coalition, as nations working shoulder to shoulder from West Africa to the Indian Ocean, the United States and France will only strengthen our resolve.

As the president said tonight, in this moment of tragedy the United States stands with the people of France and its vibrant, multi-cultural democracy. For more than 200 years the United States and France have stood together in friendship. We have stood for the common good and security of all nations. We have never stood closer than we do now. Vive la France."

President Hollande Declares "France At War;" Airstrikes Begin; Promises Pitiless Retaliation

French President François Hollande, in less than 72 hours, has made good on his promise of "pitiless retaliation" and has launched what is described as "massive" airstrikes against Islamic State fighters, headquartered in Syria.

The airstrikes were targeted, with the assistance of the United States, for their strategic value to the encroaching fascist evil that spawned deliberate, planned and coordinated terror strikes throughout Paris, on Friday, killing 129 and injuring more than 200 others, some suffering life-threatening and critical injuries.

French President Hollande addressed the world after the Night of Terror promising one thing to his people, the retaliation would be pitiless.

Taking charge, and allowing no one to deter him, Hollande, moved quickly and precisely. Airstrikes against the self-proclaimed Islamic State Capital in northern Syria of Raqqa were coordinated and initiated. Facilities targeted included recruitment centers, training camps and ammunitions dump.

Hollande Releases Additional Information

As President Hollande is mobilizing on multiple fronts, news agencies are shadowing French military and meticulously following up on the latest facts, rumor, hints and innuendo.

News agencies have released reports the planning of the attacks were completed in neighboring Belgium, identities of the assailants are becoming known.

Brahim Abdeslam, 31, and Ismael Mostefai, 29, have been identified as two of potentially eight men who carried out the attacks. Mostefai, self-detonated at the Bataclan and his thumb, was recovered at the scene. A Syrian passport belonging to Ahmed Almohammad , 25, was also found at the scene.

Mostefai was a French National living in Belgium. Almohammad was identified as a Syrian refugee who traveled what is now the common trek landing in Greece and traveling to central Europe. Abdelsm also self-detonated at Stade de France.

Of the eight men, three teams, six detonated their suicide belts, one was shot and killed by police and one Saleh Abdeslam, 26, 5"7' is now the subject of an international manhunt. Family members of Mostefai, who lived in Chartres, have also been detained.

French Police sources are indicating a larger team, of possibly twenty in total, leaving twelve, possibility those in Belgium were trained and prepared participate.  If accurate, this information would lend itself to a second coordinated series of strikes may still be in the plans.

The world stands committed to the eradication of terrorism, theoretically. The disconnect is between the pledge and the practical application. With arrests again made in neighboring Belgium, it appears that there are pockets of terror hot beds and countries that may not be as dedicated to the extermination of the terrorists.

Paris Attacks

Islamic State fighters, (ISIS/ISIL), launched full scale coordinated terror assaults against the City of Lights Friday, in an attempt to strike fear into the hearts of the resilient Parisians and bring them into a state of chaos, confusion and incapacitation.

The attacks, constituting an Act of War, were a combination of explosions and automatic weapon assaults, were timed within ten minutes of the last strike for the purpose of mass confusion, chaos and casualty.

Conducted under the cover of darkness, the masked commandoes targeted two large arenas, the Stade de France and the Bataclan Music Hall, hoping for mass casualty.

Five other smaller hits all in succession, targeted al fresco diners at local restaurants and bistro's, concentrated in the neighborhoods of the 10th and 11th Arrondissement.

The attacks, when examined appear to be testing ground for the Islamic fighters to determine which venues are vulnerable to the style of attacks they perpetuate.

The self-detonation suicide bombs had some effect, killing the bomber, but little, if any patrons at the Stade de France, were murdered in the attacks.

The commando style massacre, in a closed, corralled venue, from a terroristic mentality achieved what would be considered the hoped for results. Penned in, concert goers had no place to run, and they were distracted, by the volume, the strobe lighting, and other elements associated with a concert.

Parisians, however, if nothing are resourceful and many managed to escape the sold out 1500 seat theatre before the hostage situation unfolded.

Islamic fighters released a statement claiming responsibility for the barbaric attacks upon citizens of France in retaliation for the coalition strikes against Syrian strongholds. Of course, the usual utterings "Allahu Akhbar" were spoken during the attacks, indicating the killings are somehow sanctioned by god.

G20 Summit Continues in Turkey; Hollande Sends Representative

Members of the G20 Nations, including President Obama met this weekend in Regnum Carya Resort, Antalya, Turkey. Admittedly, the items of discussion were pre-determined and the agenda according to host nation, President Tayyip Erodgan.

As the world watches France, mourns with its people, unites in mind, body and spirit, a determination takes over that causes us the stand with one global voice, one global goal: to eradicate terrorism and destroy the Islamic State Fighters, ISIL/ISIS and their brotherhoods.

President Erodgan, issued this statement on behalf of the G20 Nations: "We have all been shocked with the attacks that have taken place in Paris, which led to the deaths of 129 people and to more than 200 people being injured.  We strongly condemn these attacks. We will make strong emphasis on the importance of having a firm stance against international terrorism, given the situation that has been going on around the world.

President Obama also joined with the Turkish President and said, "Traditionally, the G20 has been a forum primarily to discuss important economic issues facing the globe.  But as President Erdogan noted, the skies have been darkened by the horrific attacks that took place in Paris just a day and a half ago.  As was true with the terrible attacks that took place in Ankara, the killing of innocent people based on a twisted ideology is an attack not just on France, not just on Turkey, but it's an attack on the civilized world.  And as we, I'm sure, each said to President Hollande and the French people, we stand in solidarity with them in hunting down the perpetrators of this crime and bringing them to justice."

The G20 agenda, preset prior to the act of war against France, would have had the leaders of the 20 richest global economies discussing specific issues facing their nations and how better to resolve global concerns which affect each countries, on some level, equally.

When the most recent world recession, the worst since the great depression, economic development, jobs creation and economic stabilization were paramount and necessary, and remain, issues. Basic fundamental needs faced by humanity including affordable housing, healthcare, clean drinking water, and sustainability are always part of the global discussions as leaders see the progressive change, less chaotic economies, and a return to some degree of global levelheadedness. These meetings produce strategies, blueprints, to determine what works and what doesn't for each nation.

The Agenda, at this meeting, focuses on Climate Change, and the critical necessity of implementing permanent legislation that works to reserve the already devastating effects of fossil fuel emissions,  greater and more efficient use of clean energy, conservation, replanting and stopping widespread deforestation, and cleaning and maintaining the world's oceans, lakes, rivers, streams and bodies of water.

Today, however, what is not working is the current strategy utilized in eradicating terrorism. Ultimatums, spoken in the strongest possible language have been delivered so frequently they are determined to be empty and void meant for a global stage.

The refugee situation, of course, has created a vacuum bringing into other nations every type of Syrian citizens from the innocent to the disturbed and dedicated terrorist. Humanity aches to extend to those in need hope of humanity. The unfortunate facts remain a slower, more arduous and deliberate clearing process should have stopped the free flow migration of refugees. Refugees should have been housed in barracks and health and status checks and asylum applications completed.

Where are the counter-terror specialists, NATO, coalition partners and nations who remain firm, diligent and determined and then bloodshed in the streets of France again? For the second time this year. And let's not forget the thwarted attack on the high speed train.

As the blood runs in the street of Paris, the world has waited long enough.

World Unified

After the attacks the leaders of the world sent more than condolences to the French. They turned their more iconic buildings and skylines, known by sight, red white and blue symbolically showing solidarity. Monuments, iconic structures, of the world including The London Eye, the Sydney Opera House, the Rio de Janeiro's Statue of Christ, from Central Europe to Asia, New York to Australia, the world declared with the French: Today we are all French; we mourn with you and we stand with you.

Charlie Sheen Announces He is HIV Positive

Charlie Sheen, once the highest paid television actor, has announced he is HIV positive. The medical bombshell was not a surprise to many as Sheen, who experienced a very public meltdown, has frequently voiced the pleasure of his risky lifestyle.

Speaking exclusively with NBC’s Today Show anchor Matt Lauer, Sheen explained his reasons for coming forward now, after four years of knowledge and treatment, and admitting to the public his medical condition, that to stop the “shakedowns” and blackmail attempts that have cost him “into the millions.”

Lauer who’s exhibited extremely cold and brisk interview tactics, almost hoping to trigger a temper tantrum from the short tempered son of Hollywood actor and activist Martin Sheen, never warmed up to the Two and a Half Men and Anger Management star.

Sheen has long been known for voicing his relationships with porn stars, prostitutes, and his infamous feuds with Two and a Half Men Creator/Producer Chuck Lorre, which cost him his job.

He was publically deserted after his high profile team of superstar publicists, management and agents all bailed after the last NBC interview in which he declared his love for two women, that he called his goddesses, both of porn fame.

Sheen has won a Golden Globe for his performance on Spin City, a TV Land Future Classic Award for Two and a Half Men, an ALMA Award from Spin City, a Western Heritage Award his shared with his brother actor Emilio Estevez, Lou Diamond Philip, Keifer Sutherland, John Fusco, and Christopher Cain. Sheen received a Motion Picture Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1994.

Sheen has been nominated for 23 other industry awards and multiple industry awards for his work over the years including an academy award for his work in Wall Street, he earned 1.8million per episode for work on Two and a Half Men, playing the role of womanizing, boozing, Charlie Harper basically himself,

At one time Sheen’s medical condition would have been an automatic death sentence. Thanks to Magic Johnson and other high visibility public individuals who are also HIV positive, the medical regimen has vastly improved and the long term chances for survival also have increased significantly.
