Biden Announces Reelection Bid

President Joseph Biden announced his intent to seek a second term, imploring Americans to "Finish the Job" and to look back at the strides his administration has made toward securing a better existence for all Americans.

"Biden, who would be 86 at the end of a second term, is betting his first-term legislative achievements and more than 50 years of experience in Washington will count for more than concerns over his age," APnews.com reported.

While many can look at the achievements the Biden-Harris administration have accomplished even with 18 months left in the first four years of his term all of which are posted on the White House The Record page and available for American to research and determine for themselves.

Some of those achievements including a thriving economy, two years of job growth that has resulted in the lowest unemployment rate in over five decades, nearly 11 million jobs created since 2021, singed the most significant gun violence prevention legislation in nearly three decades, proposed the Rebuilding our Infrastructure bill, a bi-partisan effort that Biden signed into law. These are just a few of the accomplishments of the Biden-Harris administration others can been seen here.

Of course, the larger issue remains is the nation ready for a female president. This singular issue could become the line in the sand for many voters. Vice President Kamala Harris is the next in line for the presidency. The American public may be comfortable with Biden as president, but the elephant in the room remains, are they comfortable with Kamala Harris as President and the secondary issue, is of course the imagination of an agenda she would craft should she become president.

For millions of voters the time has come for a female to lead, for others, oddly, gender seems to be the dividing line in our nation's political persuasion. Voters would cross party lines, to stop a female from leading. The history is too fresh to not reflect on the 17million voters who stood by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders in his bid for president and then disappeared when it came time to vote in the general election or did they cast their ballot for Trump, the antithesis of everything Sanders stood for simply because they couldn't stomach the idea of voting for a female. Have we progressed?

The announcement of Biden's intent to seek a second term lays the groundwork for the possibility of a Biden-Trump replay which, even with the former President's legal trouble which could drag into summer of 2024 and may provide some influence with his base of voters.

Trump's legal challenges in New York State have little bearing on the populous in the predominately red states that would remain loyal. Even a conviction doesn't preclude him from seeking and securing the republican's nomination for President of the United States.

"While charges against a former president and leading contender for a major party's presidential nomination are unprecedented, there is nothing in the Constitution that prevents someone who has been charged or convicted from seeking or taking office. The specific charge or charges have not been publicly announced, and an indictment is not a conviction," CBSnews.com reports.

A Second Trump Presidency and What it Would Mean for America

The reverberations of a second trump presidency are not limited to only the four years he would hold. Americans are reeling from the former President's three Supreme Court appointees, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett, who provided the majority votes that reversed Row vs. Wade, the landmark "law of the land" case which allowed women to seek control over their reproductive health.

The debate rages and will always rage on the rights of the unborn and while it is valid, not one elected official has allocated time, money, or other resources to follow up care on the "unborn rights" they boost to care so much about.

A Trump presidency will stop the U.S. participation in Paris Climate Accord as Trump does not believe in climate action or that the world even confronts a global climate challenge. He does not believe in global warming. He does not believe in the science or factual evidence that provides the rising oceans and the blistering changes in the earth's temperature result in greater catastrophic weather events.

As Trump is vindictive, each piece of legislation created by the Biden-Harris administration would be systematically dismantled including even the smaller, less known pieces of legislation such as reducing punishment for cannabis users which the Trump administration was very clear violations on a federal level would result in prosecution.

World News: French President Macron Haunted by Pension Reform Law

Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was "asked if the government would take action on recreational marijuana use. "Well," Spicer said, "I think that is a question for the Department of Justice. I do believe you'll see greater enforcement of it," CNBC.com reported.

And of course, Second Amendment Gun Control protections, which republicans believe include owning the most advanced weaponry mankind has produced as "protection," is a Constitutionally sanctioned right.

His Supreme Court appointees have already reversed inclusive laws and Americans have witnessed states following suit enforcing strict exclusion laws on citizens within their boundaries that are transsexual. LGBTQ Rights are next on the chopping block, followed by Inter-Racial Rights.

The Replacement Theory, which promotes a white supremacy doctrine akin to the KKK, has a strong presence in the Trump presidency and his "conservative" choices. While debating The Replacement Theory is not the issue, as extremism in any doctrine leads to misinterpretations and ideologies that tend to foster extremist's action.

The polar viewpoints of The Replacement Theory are the core value of the MAGA doctrine, Make America Great Again, a foundation of predominately Caucasian voters who see "their" America melting away into this great cauldron of diversity.

Fox News has also been known to present a watered-down version of the replacement theory, moving from the polarized version to feeding the American people a foundational belief system that allows presents them just enough a right-wing radical viewpoint that these groups can claim a celebrity endorsement of their ideology.

The truth of MAGA media, Fox News, and other right wing red inciting media are ratings and pro Donald Trump agendas deliver ratings, rating deliver profit. So, the red-MAGA base should understand these people that the red right supports they are simply riding their back to the ATM.

Trump Troubles Continue

Former President Donald Trump's legal troubles continue as former writer E. Jean Carroll, was deposed this week and as typical in the prosecution of rape victims, was required to retell her account of the 1990s rape by former President Donald Trump crime in exactness, which is designed to force victims to relive traumatic events so to stop them from coming forward, knowing that the judicial system from the police, prosecutors, and judges favor the criminal.

"The highly charged exchange came as Ms. Carroll underwent hours of cross-examination by Mr. Tacopina, who made it clear he was seeking to undermine her testimony about what she says was a vicious attack by Mr. Trump after they ran into each other at the Bergdorf Goodman store on Fifth Avenue in the mid-1990s," The New York Times reported.

Her account, which included the details, was attacked by Trump's lawyer who assessed the validity of her claim by her reactions. Did she scream? Did she respond? Although media has not reported, it wouldn't be a surprise if they asked her for a physical description of this penis, or the "general feeling" "Did her vagina ache?" "Did she feel like he had a large penis?" All which contributes to the large discrepancy between rapes, reported rapes and prosecution.

The perpetrator will thoroughly enjoy this line of questioning as they long to throw a garment of shame they should be wearing on the victims and believe the victim wears the seared R of rape and therefore will never be anything other than the victim.

Harry Belafonte Dies

Civil Rights advocate, singer, and entertainer Harry Belafonte died this week. He was 96. Lauded by presidents and former presidents, entertainer and advocates of civil rights and liberties Belafonte was known for his dedication to breaking racial barriers.

A supporter of Civil Rights, Belafonte as a young man, after achieving success as a singer and one of the few black entertainers to be given film opportunities, befriended Martin Luther King, Jr. and quickly and quietly began a longtime supporter of the civil rights movement.

"He put up much of the seed money to help start the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and was one of the principal fund-raisers for that organization and Dr. King's Southern Christian Leadership Conference," The New York Times reported.
