Robert Kennedy Leads Effort as Decade-Long Gulf Oil Spill Case Settled

The Taylor Energy Company announced today that the company has agreed to a $400,000 settlement in a lawsuit over a decade-old oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. The company was sued in 2012 by the Waterkeeper Alliance.

Waterkeeper Alliance, a global watch dog organization whose mission is to guard the earth’s bodies of water from pollution and reduce the negative effects caused by mans’ disregard of natural resources, accused Taylor Energy of withholding information about the leak's impact.

Waterkeeper Alliance is the world’s fastest growing environmental movement, with over 240 separate organizations branches throughout the world dedicated to protecting rivers, lakes and coastal waterways worldwide and ensuring swimmable, drinkable and fishable water for everyone.
