New Mexico Girl, 10, Drugged, Sexually Assaulted, Murdered, Dismembered, on Birthday

Victoria Martens, 10, was due to celebrate her birthday later Wednesday, instead friends and family members are mourning the gregarious child who was found dismembered wrapped in a burning blanket inside her family's Albuquerque, New Mexico apartment.
As the details are emerging, Albuquerque Police have charged three individuals including Michelle Martens, 35, the mother, Fabian Gonzales, 31, the mother's boyfriend, and his cousin, Jessica Kelly, 31, who within the past week been released from prison, with various crimes including child abuse resulting in death, kidnapping, tampering with evidence and sexual assault of a minor.
The details of the shocking and heinous crime is reverberating through the judicial system with New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez said the manner in which the child was killed is "atrocious" and "unspeakable and justice should come down like a hammer on the monster who committed this murder."
The viciousness of the crime, has shocked even then most hardened detectives, who offered a presumed timeline the crime occurred Wednesday, August 24, 2017 at some time in the early morning hours.
"This is a horrific tragedy for our community. We will exhaust every resource into this investigation," Albuquerque Police Chief Gorden Eden stated during a press conference.
From what detectives have pieced together, the child, Victoria, was living with her mother Michelle Martens, in an Albuquerque New Mexico apartment complex. Victoria, from all accounts, was a happy child, sociable with friends in the local community, at school and church.
At approximately 4:30am, Wednesday morning, the two cousins, Fabian Gonzales and Jessica Kelly apparently tired of Michelle decided to rape her child. Frantic, Victoria was barred from leaving the apartment and became violently upset.
Gonzales, according to Michelle Martens, drugged Victoria with Methamphetamine, in an attempt to calm her down. Kelly, the cousin, held her hand over her mouth to stop the screams and stabbed her in the stomach. The two raped the child and then in an attempt to destroy the evidence dismembered the child and set the remains on fire.
Police are providing limited details on the scene, blood was found throughout the Arroyo Villas apartment, in the living room and in the child's room. Gonzales was covered in blood when the police arrived and apparently told the police he was trying to clean himself up before the others arrived. Michelle Martens told police when they arrived they had killed her daughter.
Jessica Kelly has been identified as the sole perpetrator by her cousin Fabian Gonzales. This statement has been reported "not completely false and not completely true."
Neighbors called the police reporting a battery. Police arrived at the scene, horrified, the put the fire out and discovered the gruesome remains.
