The Academy Travels to WWII Czechoslovakia With "Closely Watched Trains"

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presents a special screening of the 1967 Foreign Language Film Oscar® winner “Closely Watched Trains” on Monday, September 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

The evening, which will be hosted by Oscar-nominated writer-director Philip Kaufman (“The Unbearable Lightness of Being”), includes a rare onstage discussion with the film’s director, Jiří Menzel.
