Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, roared back from his bitter South Carolina defeat, winning both Florida’s Primary and the Nevada Caucus proving he’s the GOP front man to beat.

Embattled former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, not far behind and clearly not out, has challenged Romney’s platform throughout the week and his message clearly resonated with Conservative voters who provided him solid showings in both states.

Romney, scoring big in both Florida and Nevada signaled he’s got the voter’s confidence gaining more than 45% of the votes in both states and also picked up a key endorsement this week from New York Developer, and International Icon, Donald Trump.

Tuesday’s, winner take all, Florida Primary rearranged the GOP strategy board with Romney gaining all fifty delegates with 46.4% of the votes. Gingrich, maintaining a steady second with 31.9% of the votes and rounding out the pack of GOP Presidential hopefuls Rick Santorum with 13.3% and Ron Paul with 18.6%.

Saturday’s Nevada Caucus’, a strong indicator for the general election turnout put Romney ahead of his closest challenger by nearly 25% with 47.6% of the votes. Gingrich, a distant second, received 22.7% and flipping the final two Ron Paul, third, with 18.6% and Rick Santorum, with 11.1%.

Ahead for the Republican Presidential hopefuls February 7, Colorado and Minnesota will hold caucuses and Missouri will hold a rehearsal primary. The results of the February 7th Missouri primary will not count toward the needed 2012 delegates. The Missouri Republican Party will hold a caucus on March 17th, which will determine the delegates sent to the 2012 Republican National Convention scheduled for August in Tampa, Florida.

The 2012 Delegate Tracker has Mitt Romney with 97; Newt Gingrich with 30; Santorum at 16 and Ron Paul with seven delegates toward the 1,144 needed to secure the Republican Nomination for President.

Other Election 2012 GOP News: Trailing challenger Rick Santorum has failed to qualify for the May 8, Indiana Primary.
