HL Business: Media Moves – The Desk Shuffle; Retirement, Promotions, Greener Pastures

Media moguls are making the moves with television and cable networks and print and digital publications slicing longtime staffers and adding new, fresh talent as retirement woes, the desk shuffle, promotions, advancements, and greener pastures fill the crisp autumn air.

Below a quick reference of movers, shakers and changes across the board and in major markets. All provided by CisionScoop.

Tiffany Wu has been named Reuters managing editor, overseeing the Americas. Wu has been at Reuters since 1998, originally serving as a correspondent in Hong Kong and Shanghai. She was promoted to deputy regional editor of the Americas in 2014.

Three longtime editors with New York Post recently announced retirement. Managing Editor Frank Zini retired after leading the newsroom for nine years; Zini served a total of 22 years with the paper. In addition, Lou Lumenick announced his retirement; Lumenick was the chief film critic for 27 years. And, Fredric Dicker is retiring after 24 years as state editor and columnist.

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review -  After more than two decades in print, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review will become digital-only, effective Nov. 30. The change will not affect sister papers, Tribune-Review Westmoreland Edition and Valley News Dispatch

CBS Announces New Anchor Of ‘Sunday Morning’
