Griffin Debuts Eco-Friendly WoodTones Earbuds Made from Reclaimed Wood

Griffin Technology, one of the world’s foremost creators of innovations for everyday life, launched WoodTones ear buds made with wood reclaimed from other manufacturing processes.

These left-over bits of responsibly harvested wood, which would have otherwise been burned or tossed in a landfill, are polished to a smooth satin finish, displaying the singular qualities of the wood grain; no two pieces are alike. As housings for the ear buds’ micro-drivers, the wood reveals its excellent acoustic qualities.

“Griffin’s new WoodTones combine the aesthetic and acoustic benefits inherent in real wood, resulting in great-sounding and great-looking ea rbuds,” said Ethan Opelt, Line Manager of Griffin’s Audio category. “WoodTones accentuate vocals and bass while also improving sound volume, meaning users can listen at lower volume levels than usual while still enjoying the same caliber of sound.”

These ear buds pair the excellent acoustic qualities of the wood with 8 mm neodymium drivers. The tiny WoodTones enclosures are so lightweight, and the soft silicone ear cushions are so comfortable, they can be worn for extended periods without fatigue. Three sizes of cushions are included to ensure a good fit and a listening experience isolated from outside distractions.

WoodTones come packaged inside a drawstring carrying pouch made of natural hemp fiber. Each set of WoodTones is a one-of a kind artifact that will reveal layers of nuance in listeners’ favorite music that they’ve been missing with ordinary ear buds.

WoodTones features include lightweight enclosures made from real reclaimed wood, wooden housings that enhance voice and bass frequencies without coloring the sound, 8 mm neodymium magnet drivers for powerful sound, soft silicone ear cushions for added comfort, with three size options, 4 feet of smooth, black cable giving ample room for movement, included drawstring carrying pouch made of natural hemp fiber.

Griffin’s WoodTones are available for under $30.00 at www.griffintechnology.com/woodtones.
