Beltway Insider: World Unites Against ISIS/ISIL; United Nations Host World Leaders; Holder Resigns

President Obama presented his message of peace in the midst of ever growing global violence as he addressed the United Nations General Assembly calling on an end to extremism, the destruction ISIS/ISIL, and the choice of hope.

According to Gallup, President Obama's job approval, over the past week remained constant at 42% of those polled who approve of his effectiveness as President and those who disapprove of his effectiveness as President also stayed remained at 53%.

World United Against ISIS

President Obama, along with Senior cabinet members have remained committed to forming a global coalition to address the Islamic State insurgents, state fighters and loyalties formed with Syria's Basher al-Assad.

The global coalition, which has reached 50 nations, are united in precepts set forth by the President and his cabinet that include destroying ISIL/ISIS, assisting Syrian's opposition fighters and dismantling Basher al-Assad.

Belgium and Demark have joined the coalition bringing the total to over 50 nations who have pledge support and have approved U.S. led airstrikes against Syria and the Islamic state fighters. The two nations, along with Great Britain, who also recently joined the coalition, have pledge F-16 fighter jets and manpower.

Loyal to Osama bin Laden, ISIS/ISIL does not consider itself an underground terror organization in the way bin laden and his organization did.

ISIS/ISIL leadership, in a recent communiqué, has called on its members to carried out acts of violence on coalition members.

ISIS, backed by Syria, and other loyalists, are in the forefront of initiating an Iraqi civil war as they move to gain ground taking the city of Erbil and forcing its inhabitants to flee and face sure death or stay and fight a choice that also will result in death.

ISIS is dedicated to furthering the cause of terror and the destruction of the democracy and any western influence not simply the United States. The reach of ISIS and determination to further its cause renders a guilty verdict to any citizen or nationality connected to first the United States and vocal against Syrian polices.

The recent demonstration of cowardice by ISIS, the murder of both American and British citizens, geared to instill fear in the people,

World Leaders Meet at the United Nations

The United Nations hosted the 69th Session of the General Assembly, the annual gathering and meeting of presidents, Excellencies and leaders from around the world, where any nation regardless of position may attend

The 69th Session, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City from September 24 through September 30, 2014, presented several key positions all centered on advancing the Human Rights of the world population.

President Obama, for the second year galvanized the world leaders against the dictatorial regimes associated with extremism and terrorism and specifically mentioned the territorial violation by Vladimir Putin's Russia against Ukraine sovereignty, Syria and ISIS/ISIL.

President Obama called on the international community to join the U.S. in meeting this challenge with a four point plan including:

Degrading and ultimately destroying the terrorist group ISIL

This group has terrorized all who they come across in Iraq and Syria. Mothers, sisters, daughters have been subjected to rape as a weapon of war. Innocent children have been gunned down.  Bodies have been dumped in mass graves. Religious minorities have been starved to death.  In the most horrific crimes imaginable, innocent human beings have been beheaded, with videos of the atrocity distributed to shock the conscience of the world.

No God condones this terror. No grievance justifies these actions. There can be no reasoning -- no negotiation -- with this brand of evil. The only language understood by killers like this is the language of force. So the United States of America will work with a broad coalition to dismantle this network of death.

Bringing the world, especially Muslim communities, together to explicitly, forcefully, and consistently reject the ideology of terrorists, in part by committing to a new set of principles to reject intolerance and extremism in the education of our children

It is time for a new compact among the civilized peoples of this world to eradicate war at its most fundamental source, and that is the corruption of young minds by violent ideology.

That means cutting off the funding that fuels this hate.  It's time to end the hypocrisy of those who accumulate wealth through the global economy and then siphon funds to those who teach children to tear it down.

That means contesting the space that terrorists occupy, including the Internet and social media. Their propaganda has coerced young people to travel abroad to fight their wars, and turned students -- young people full of potential -- into suicide bombers.  We must offer an alternative vision.

That means bringing people of different faiths together. All religions have been attacked by extremists from within at some point, and all people of faith have a responsibility to lift up the value at the heart of all great religions: Do unto thy neighbor as you would have done unto yourself.

Addressing the cycle of conflict that creates the conditions terrorists prey upon

It is time that political, civic and religious leaders reject sectarian strife. So let's be clear: This is a fight that no one is winning.  A brutal civil war in Syria has already killed nearly 200,000 people, displaced millions. Iraq has come perilously close to plunging back into the abyss. The conflict has created a fertile recruiting ground for terrorists who inevitably export this violence.

Ensuring that Arab and Muslim countries focus on the extraordinary potential of their people -- a chance that is possible and doesn't need to come at the expense of tradition

The task of rejecting sectarianism and rejecting extremism is a generational task -- and a task for the people of the Middle East themselves. No external power can bring about a transformation of hearts and minds. But America will be a respectful and constructive partner. We will neither tolerate terrorist safe havens, nor act as an occupying power. We will take action against threats to our security and our allies, while building an architecture of counterterrorism cooperation. We will increase efforts to lift up those who counter extremist ideologies and who seek to resolve sectarian conflict. And we will expand our programs to support entrepreneurship and civil society, education and youth -- because, ultimately, these investments are the best antidote to violence.

Obama moved forward advancing the cause of Iraqi freedom and the deconstruction of Basher al-Assad's Syria and his alliance and funding of the terror group, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

Iran President Rouhani Addresses General Assembly

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani was given permission to address the General Assembly. Speaking for approximately 23minutes, the President of Iran expressed his concern over the rise of extremism indicating "terrorism has become globalized from Al Qaida to DASH and the extremists have found each other and put out the call to unite."

Rouhani, a highly educated legal scholar, addressed the actions of Islamic state fighters and the recent beheadings, clearly defending his religious beliefs and calling the violence, in the name of Allah, a gross depiction and defamation of the principals of Allah

Rouhani, himself advancing a peace agenda, was given the opportunity to address the world's leaders albeit with reservations by some and as part of the ongoing commitment to the destruction of Iran Nuclear program.

Surprisingly eloquent, the moderate cleric remained on point throughout the 23minute speech denouncing terrorism, extremism, factions, zealotry, Al Qaida and violence in the name of Allah. He called on the media to maintain greater diligence in the reporting Muslin based violence.

He suggested countries; leaders of the world must "Identify roots of terrorism. Terrorism germinates in poverty, in unemployment, injustice, discrimination in the culture of violence."

The timeline of terrorism, a continued reduction of hatred, of discrimination, a global meltdown of dissatisfactions feeds to a disgruntled spirit becoming fertile ground ripe for cult or extremism where one can exercise power.

The General Assembly voted on several key matters of business including the adoption by the UN Human Rights Council of the resolution in support of the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

"The second such resolution to be passed by the UN Human Rights Council, today's resolution reiterates that LGBT persons are entitled to the human rights and fundamental freedoms that are the birthright of all humankind, expresses grave concern regarding acts of violence and discrimination against LGBT persons, and requests the preparation of an important new report on preventing such abuses. We thank sponsors Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Uruguay for their leadership, and commend the Council for taking another historic step to reinforce the unassailable principle that LGBT rights are human rights," the statement by National Security Advisor Susan Rice read.

Additionally, in housekeeping matters the 69th meeting of the General Assembly agreed to continue to "reaffirm our support for United Nations peacekeeping operations at a time when they are more critical than ever to international peace and security, and yet also under historic stress."

Vice President Joseph Biden addressed the United Nations Peacekeeping Summit and also presented a U.S. stakeholders overview of the current state of the UN Peacekeeping Force as the United States is the single largest contributor both fiscally and in staffing of the global paramilitary organization.

The leadership presented by the United States is recognized by a contribution of over 1.9billion toward the UN Peacekeeping budget as well as in man power with more than half of the global military force United States citizens trained in either law enforcement of military.

Holder Resigns

United States Attorney General Eric Holder has tendered his resignation to the president effectively ending his government service after over forty years. Holder plans to stay on at the Department of Justice until a successor can be found and confirmed by the senate.

"I chose him to serve as Attorney General because he believes, as I do, that justice is not just an abstract theory.  It's a living and breathing principle.  It's about how our laws interact with our daily lives.  It's about whether we can make an honest living, whether we can provide for our families; whether we feel safe in our own communities and welcomed in our own country; whether the words that the Founders set to paper 238 years ago apply to every single one of us and not just some," the President said of his long time friend.
