President Donald Trump held an Independence Day party in Washington D.C, which many have called a campaign event, in celebration of the nation's birthday complete with marching bands, military display, a campaign salute and punctuated with traditional fireworks.

According to Gallup, President Trump's job approval rating, which was tracked for the two week time period of June 3 -16, 2019, increased three percentage points to 43% of those polled who approve of his effectiveness as President and those who disapprove of his effectiveness as President remained consistent at 55%. A slight 3% of the population polled have no opinion. Ratings are calculated bi-monthly.

Salute to America

After traveling to many nations over the past two years, President Donald Trump decided it was time for the United States to have a Military Parade, complete with big guns, tanks, a flyover from Air Force One, and a sampling of the arsenal the United States houses to maintain its defense.

Unfortunately, the weather refused to grant Trump and company the day they have dreamed of during the planning stages. Thunderstorms were in the forecast and even with heavy clouds dumping torrential rains delaying the start, the large crowd, estimated at $2million, many of whom had also attended the traditional Independence Day Parade, and moved to the next party, appeared to enjoy themselves.

The funding for the Fourth of July celebration came in part from the National Park Service which diverted $2.5million "from fees gathered from park-goers."

With three events held in succession on Independence Day including the traditional parade, which was followed by Salute to America, followed by The Capital Fourth Concert and Fireworks. It was a day of free events open to the public which generated more attendance at each event.

Partisan politics appeared to be nowhere in sight as Trump astonishingly stuck to script, without jabbing democrats or denigrating potential candidates. Large campaign donors received seated tickets which caused many on the campaign trail to hint at suggestions of misappropriation of funds using federal monies to support a campaign event which is illegal and grounds for impeachment.

With the Independence Day celebration behind us, Washington politics will return to normal and the hunt to find means and members to support an impeachment process will continue.

July Fourth Brings Out Big Guns

Two hundred forty-three years ago today, our Founding Fathers, gathered in Philadelphia, adopted the Declaration of Independence and cast off the shackles of tyranny.  They proclaimed the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  The ideals and values of the American Revolution gave birth to a just and virtuous republic that has both fostered and been sustained by a people animated by courage, faith, and love.  Thomas Jefferson wrote to his friend—and hero of the Revolutionary War—Major General Marquis de Lafayette: "The cement of this union is in the heart blood of every American."  These words ring true still, as the unmatched patriotism of Americans continues to bind us as a Nation.

Trump Economy Continues Growth

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released the June employment numbers which ushered in a celebration for the White House as employers added 244,000 to the economy, which continues to follow a substantial growth track which began under former President Barack Obama.

The unemployment rate remains unchanged at 3.7%. The United States economy has added jobs over the last 94 months, which remains the longest growth streak in US history.

With nearly every sector adding jobs and a reelection season fast approaching the possibility of more lucrative employment opening for the percentage of workers who remain underemployed, the only sector The BLS hasn't measured.

Taliban Resurgence Strikes Kabul

The United States condemns in the strongest terms today's heinous terrorist attack, claimed by the Taliban, in which Afghan civilians and security personnel were killed and severely wounded. The attack involved a vehicle bombing and gun assault on an Afghan defense facility, also damaging nearby civic and cultural centers and a primary school, injuring dozens of young children. This brazen attack demonstrates the Taliban's callous disregard for their fellow Afghans, who have repeatedly voiced the urgency of finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

Feds Want El Chapo's Assets

The Southern District of New York State has filed a petition to seize more than $12 billion in cash, jewels and properties from Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, the Sinaloa Drug cartel leader, as forfeiture for monies earned while in the commission of a crime.

"In a letter filed by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, prosecutors are moving to seize $12.6 billion from convicted kingpin Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman. A federal court convicted the former Sinaloa Cartel leader during a lengthy trial in February on multiple charges related to his role as the supreme leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. Currently, the drug lord awaits his sentencing hearing later this month where he faces a life sentence," Breitbart news reported.

Parents of Otto Warmbier Claims North Korean Seized Ship

The parents of Otto Warmbier, the 21-year-old who died after being held in a North Korean prison, have filed a claim to seize a detained North Korean Cargo Ship to satisfy the $500million dollar judgment awarded them for the wrongful death of their son.

Prior to the conciliatory relationships between the North Koreans and the United States, the cargo ship which holds machinery, was capture in international waters by the US Naval command as it violated sanctions.

The Warmbiers, who have stated emphatically, they will never stop seeking to recoup damages awarded them over the death of their son.

Otto Warmbier participated in a prank and attempted to steal a poster of Kim Jong Un off the wall of his hotel in a restricted zone. He was seen on security closed circuit television. The following day he arrived at the airport to depart with his tour group. Prior to departure he was detained by military police. In a subsequent sham trial, he was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years hard labor.

Within a month from his incarceration he was so gravely injured, from known or unknown sources, that he never recovered and remained comatose until his release more than one year later.

The injuries associated with Mr. Warmbier's condition upon repatriation were consisted with extensive loss of oxygen to the brain over a sustained period of time. Physicians who examined him upon his return were unable to pinpoint an exactness to the cause of his injuries.

With only limited textbook reasons for the remote brain injuries the possibility of asphyxiation, either self-inflicted, waterboarding or as part of what one considered routine torture, medically it was determined he had been in this vegetative condition for nearly his entire confinement.

North Korean officials indicated he suffered an irreversible coma from botulism and a sleeping pill and had been comatose from April 2017.

United States Women Win Against Netherlands in an Historic FIFA Women's Cup

The United State Women's Soccer team, after a full-tilt, turbo charged historic run conquering every qualified national team on the way to today's match-up, effortlessly defeated The Netherlands in a final score of 2-0.

United States co-captain Megan Rapinoe spoke to reporters in Lyon France yesterday, on the eve of the historic match between the United States and Netherlands for the World Cup final. Her comments reminiscent of those of a young Billie Jean King, in 1970, who along with eight other rule breaking females, risked everything to bring attention to the disparities in earnings and respect for the women and the game.

Yesterday, 49 years later, United States Co-Captain of the FIFA Women's Cup, Megan Rapinoe explained the exact sentiment to reporters on the eve of the Women's Cup final.

"Obviously there are two other finals going on, but this is the World Cup final – this is like, cancel everything day. So no, I don't know how it happened, I read somewhere that they said they just didn't think about it – that's a bit of a problem. The World Cup final is set so far in advance it is actually unbelievable. So, no I don't think that we feel the same level of respect, certainly that FIFA has for the men and just in general." Reuter reported.

Unfortunately, the tactics for de-legitimizing women's sports remain the same; stop the world from tuning in to the final matches reduces global rankings, pulling statistics, which are used for advertisers, and subsequently for prize purses. The fact that the FIFA scheduled three other place matches on the same day, detracting from the final, stops the argument for higher winnings, exposure and endorsements.

The FIFA used the identical argument Billie Jean King faced in 1970; women don't generate the ticket sales. FIFA Head Gianni Infantino congratulated the world's players and indicated he hoped to expand the to a 32-team tournament for 2023.

"If that is going to be the case, then it is going to need serious investment in the nations where the women's game is less developed. Men's clubs get US$8,530 per day, while their women's equivalents get 18 times less at US$453 per day. The argument for not paying equally is that the women's game does not generate the same money. What know the US women's team shirt is the biggest selling shirt of any team on the Nike website. We also know that the England vs US semi-final was the most watched show on British television this year," reports the South China Morning Post.

The Copa America final between Brazil and Argentina was also scheduled for Sunday and the CONCACAF Gold Cup between United States and Mexico is also scheduled for Sunday and will be played in Chicago.

The FIFA 2019 Women's Cup Champions will be receiving a Ticker Tape Parade down the Canyon of Heroes tomorrow, Monday, in New York City.

2020 Election Campaign Gets Dirty Early

The 2020 Election Campaign is getting down and dirty early. The campaign trail, fourteen months out is usually rumblings, wondering's, and jabs at the seating president. This upcoming 2020 election has proven to be one of the most pivotal in U.S. history.

In the minds of nearly 74million people who voted for the democratic Presidential challenger Hillary Rodham Clinton, the current administration remains an illegitimate government winning through deception, duplicity, general dishonesty, the promise of information sharing and exchange with the Russians, and tactics usually reserved for a hostile takeover.

Closing in on the first real test for the twenty-four candidates vying for the 2020 Democratic Presidential ticket the Iowa Caucus and immediately following the New Hampshire Primary's, both of which, based on history can essentially be determined early.

Oddly, the attacks by the hopefuls' center on areas covered under the Age Discrimination Act of 1967 which essentially states Age discrimination involves treating an applicant or employee less favorable because of his or her age. The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) forbids age discrimination against people who are age 40 or older.

As we have seen in the recent televised debates race, discrimination, and age are quickly becoming the divisive tactics which Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) has determined will win her the nomination. She apparently has little faith in the American people to make informed decisions and not simply judge a man by the color of his skin.

Martin Luther King, Jr., the modern-day Civil Rights Leader, once said, "I look to the day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

Unfortunately, that day is not this one as Ms. Harris, who is Jamaican-Tamil-American and Negro/Black/African-American when it benefits, has made it very clear she believes that every president including Barack Obama has held them to a sub-standard level of legitimacy and she alone is the savior and will elevate African Americans to equality.

Op/Ed: Money Can’t Buy You Health

Her recent enticement to Black America is the $1billion dollar housing opportunity. So every African American, an exclusive deal she will present to African Americans only, can secure the American Dream, It is also a divisive strategy and presents itself as an overt and obvious determination to turn the 2020 election into race-politics,

A house, home ownership, that will allow all African Americans to own, with all the rights and responsibilities, a slice of the American dream. The bank will own the note, of course, and the creditor will be paid monthly, even if unemployment spikes or a recession falls upon the land.

Her brand of pixie dust, not unlike the current administrations, the enchantress will implant in your minds the belief of a future that she swears she can control. Haven't we allowed politicians the freedom to control our minds long enough? It is our vote and our future.

Her attacks are clearly directed at front-runner former Vice-President Joe Biden, who held the Vice-presidential position during Barack Obama's White House. Even has he has made it clear that he "wants to win" the nomination on his own merit and not with the endorsement of his former employer, at some point an endorsement will be in order.

Recent published accounts have Former Fist Lady Michelle Obama who has gained more fame post white house, has indicated she would "hold off" on any endorsement.

If either former President Barack Obama or the former First lady endorse any candidate other than the former Vice President, and the candidate is Ms. Harris, then they will have played out race-politics which seems to be the strength of Ms. Harris' ticket.
