Trump Remains Convinced Climate Accord is Bad For Americans

President Trump, since taking office, has denied the cancerous effects of climate change to the point of referring to the scientific evidence as a "hoax" and has chosen to skip the United Nations Climate Summit in New York this week.

"Climate change is the defining issue of our time and now is the defining moment to do something about it. There is still time to tackle climate change, but it will require an unprecedented effort from all sectors of society. To boost ambition and accelerate actions to implement the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, UN Secretary-General António Guterres is asking leaders, from government, business and civil society, to come to the 2019 Climate Action Summit on 23 September with plans to address the global climate emergency," as reported by the United Nations Climate Action Summit.

"The Paris Climate Accord is the latest example of Washington entering into an agreement that disadvantages the United States to the exclusive benefit of other countries, leaving American workers, and taxpayers to absorb the cost in terms of lost jobs, lower wages, shuttered factories, and vastly diminished economic production. Thus, the United States will cease all implementation of the non-binding Paris Accord and the financial and economic burdens the agreement imposes on our country.  This includes ending the implementation of the nationally determined contribution and, very importantly, the Green Climate Fund which is costing the United States a vast fortune," the President said, June 1, 2017, when addressing the U.S. Departure from the Paris Accord.

Even as President trump has indicated the US has withdrawn from the Paris Climate Accord, a safety net was added to the terms which placed the earliest withdraw date at November 2020. It is expected the next administration will represent a return to climate responsibility and the US will return to active participation.

Headed by The United Nations Framework on Climate Change, (UNFCC), The Paris Accord, which 196 global representatives negotiated the terms can't all be misled on the lasting, damaging and scientifically proven disastrous effects of global warming.

The aims of the UNFCC is to decrease global warming by "holding the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. This strategy involved energy and climate policy including the so called 20/20/20 targets, namely the reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 20%, the increase of renewable energy's market share to 20%, and a 20% increase in energy efficiency.[17] Countries furthermore aim to reach "global peaking of greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible". The agreement has been described as an incentive for and driver of fossil fuel divestment.[18][19], as written on Wikipedia describing the aspects of The Paris Accord.

Climate Strike

No longer "Tree-Huggers," "Environmentalists," or left-overs from a bygone radical era, the new faces demanding world leaders show climate responsibility are the leaders of tomorrow.

Youth, more than 1.6billion worldwide, many of which will be voting age within the next four years and for the first time have the attention of world leaders, who have responded with support and change.

Lead by a Greta Thunberg, a slight, non-assuming, barely there, Swedish teenager, has taken her fight for Climate Change to the ends of the earth become a loud and reverberating voice.

Credited with activating The School Strike for Climate Change and mobilizing the world's youth, The Thunberg effect was in full force this past Friday, when worldwide, nearly four million activists, old and young, school age and adults, ditched their responsibilities and gathered with signs protesting, voicing concern and demanding environmental responsibility.

'"Around the world today about 4 million people have been striking," Thunberg said. "This is the biggest climate strike ever in history and we all should be so proud of ourselves because we have done this together,"' as reported in USA Today.com.

With attendance largest in European nations with Berlin at 270,000, London, 100,000, and Melbourne, 100,000, nations such as Antarctica, New Delhi, India, cities and towns where no one sees, no cameras go, no nightly news is present, and still a united global movement is building. Around the United States, 250,000 New Yorkers took to the streets making their voices heard, along with 40,000 from San Francisco, Chicago, Denver, Washington, DC.

Students from India to Indiana from nations around the world, small and large, youth walked out of classes, protesting the lack of environmental responsibility of the generation before them and the burdens of placed on them to fix this catastrophic and deadly issue.

Many signs pointed to Global Warning, the hot house effect, and other pointed to the oceans, single-use plastics, and the general disregard many have as the hot house effect, global warming, Co2 emissions have on the ocean's corals and ecosystems.

The Great Barrier Reef and closer to home, the coral reefs off the Floridian coast are now dying as the pollutions which fill the skies fall like rain and land somewhere and when they land in the water it sinks below the surface and destroys the majestic worlds under the sea.

Styrofoam, which many companies and organizations have ceased using, takes more than 100 years to decompose. In addition to releasing chemicals activated by use, hot or cold, and ingested.

Tackling every issue may result in frustration, tackling one issue at a time can create tremendous change. Do one green thing every day. Recycle, remember when recycling was odd, now it is mandatory. Change the oddity of Climate Change to mandatory, in every home.

Justin Trudeau Exposed Held Wearing Brown Face Arab Costume

With the Canadian federal election scheduled for October 21, 2019, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has found himself defending poor choices made when he donned a costume for an Arabian Nights gala, which included brown face.

Trudeau has since apologized, explaining, "In 2001, when I was teacher at in Vancouver, I attended an end of the year gala, the theme was Arabian nights. I dressed in an Aladdin costume and put on make-up on. I shouldn't have done that. I should have known better, but I didn't. I'm really sorry."

Washington State Report Countered by Indigenous Women Study

Washington State law Enforcement officials are being challenged by a recent report released on "Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls" which lacks any sensitivity or analyzes any data in the ongoing crisis indigenous women are enduring.

"Urban Indian Health Institute (UIHI) today released MMIWG: We Demand More, a study that serves as a corrective response to the Washington State Patrol's recent report on missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls (MMIWG)."

Native Americans women are the most at risk demographic for violence, even at a far greater risk than African American women. Native American females disappear at an alarming rate, with more than 5500 women vanished and presumed dead this year alone.

'"My greatest fear is other states using Washington as a model to address MMIWG. We cannot have mediocre work being affirmed, that's how structural racism evolves and invisibility of missing and murdered Native women increases,"' said Abigail Echo-Hawk, Director of UIHI through a press release.

Jurisdictional law, tribal laws, the campaign to denigrate the Indian to a sub-human status has created an abyss in law enforcement. The high statics of alcohol abuse and other substances have all added to the stigma of inconsequential and worthless.

The value of human life stops at the reservation entrance many will tell you.

The newly released MMIWG: We Demand More report is a model for how our state should be listening to our Native community and identifying ways to increase reporting on missing and murdered indigenous women and girls. We will not tolerate mediocre work. Our women and girls deserve more. https://uihi.org/wedemandmore

2020 Polls Show Top Three

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren has pounded the pavement, stumping in big cities and small towns as she has taken her message of change to the streets, and it has finally propelled her to the top of the leaderboard.

She along, with former Vice-President Joe Biden and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders have been jockeying for positioning since for months, with Biden jumping in and securing the top position immediately. Warren and Sanders felt the sting and kept the message strong and finally as the pool of candidates is slowly narrowing and separating, the polls are undergoing a shift also.

The Des Moines Register/CNN/Medicom poll of likely democratic caucus goers in Iowa found that 22% support Elizabeth Warren as president with 20% indicating Biden was their top choice. Sanders, still in the mix, came in third as the top choice.

Many see this as the indicator of the upcoming Democratic Presidential ticket, which Warren should, barring an implosion or other unforeseen event, have one of the two spots.

The next debate, held in October in Ohio, should consist of the same candidates adding possibly billionaire Hedge Fund founder, turned Democratic hopeful, Tom Steyer and US Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), both of which were shit out of the last debate unable to meet the benchmarks set by the Democratic National Committee.

The DNC has yet to announce the thresholds for the debates in November and December, which should reduce the ranks even further. To date those benchmarks have not been announced and October remains covered under the same criteria has governed September.

New Jersey Senator Cory Booker has announced his campaign may be ending, unless serious funding to the tune of $1.7million arrives. New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio has also announced the end of his campaign for the Democratic Presidential nomination.

The next democratic presidential debate, co-hosted by The New York Times and CNN, is scheduled for October 15, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio.
