AG James Releases Cuomo Review

New York Attorney Leticia James released the findings, this week, from the independent investigation into allegations of sexual harassment by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, causing shockwaves throughout the New York democratic establishment with the 165-page report that depicts the governor as a lewd, aggressive, sexually desperate bully who considers himself both above the law and legally untouchable.

"The governor of New York is painted as a public leader who treats the young women around him as sexual prey. The report details close and intimate hugs, kisses, buttock-grabbing, breast-grabbing, leering comments and violative questions and statements.  To one target he described his criterion for a girlfriend as someone who can "handle pain." This is all too believable. His prey included not only women who worked for him but a state trooper he saw at an event and got assigned to his security detail even though she didn't meet the position's requirements. He then targeted her for harassment," reported The Wall Street Journal's Peggy Noonan.

The report further explains a typical modus operandi for the perverted powerful, a manipulation of the facts to spin the blame onto the female. Moreover, Cuomo used typical beat down tactics, which is common in abusers, to instill fear and the clear understanding of retaliation, career assassination should the victims, in anyway, chose to report the crimes committed against them.

Toxic Workplace, Retaliation

Attorney General James said that Cuomo "fostered a toxic workplace" in which people were generally afraid to come forward with allegations. "The complainants also described how the culture within the Executive Chamber—rife with fear and intimidation and accompanied by a consistent overlooking of inappropriate flirtations and other sexually suggestive and gender-based comments by the Governor—enabled the above-described instances of harassment to occur and created a hostile work environment overall," the report said," Foxnews.com reported.

The report which can be read here reads like a typical portrayal of the entitled and powerful goliaths who indiscriminately and arbitrarily, without thought or concern, squash and hold hostage those outside of the purview.

The investigation which began earlier this year, exposed the governor, from 2013 to 2020, as a lecherous old man who used his political position to grope his female staff, demand bizarre and absurd behaviors, to engage in unwanted touching, and make clear comments with sexual innuendo. These initial allegations were, surprisingly meet with a commitment from New York AG Letitia James, to form an independent investigation team made up of attorneys from the law firms of Vladeck, Raskin & Clark, P.C., and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.

After interviewing 179 witnesses, including the Governor, the committee supported the allegations of the eleven complaints providing stunning, but not shocking, revelations into the inner workings of the New York Governor's office.

"He asked her to do push-ups in front of him, and asked what people were saying about the size of his hands. According to the report the aide testified that "she understood the Governor was attempting to get her to say something about the size of his genitals,"' reported The Wall Street Journal.

Separate Accommodations

Those who hold positions that determine the pursuit of legal charges for individuals who hold political offices and those within the legal industry, have separate accommodations and the double standard of prosecutorial offenses make it impossible to seek justice against even the outer fringes of the affluent as money and fear of retaliation become the guiding force behind any prosecutor's decision to bring charges.

Even those who surf the wave of the politically powerful can use the big name drop to avert prosecution, which serves as evidence to the extent the power of politicians and the legal industry have mentally conditioned law enforcement to abide by the rules they set as opposed to the rules the subset of society, those outside of those professions, must follow.

Party Leaders Call on Governor to Resign

As the Democratic party leaders have distanced themselves from the once presidential contender, with party stalwarts including President Biden, calling on him to resign, the Governor has been adamant that he would not resign, and as New York state has no term limits, could if he rides out this scandal, run for a record fourth term in 2022.

"In a video address Tuesday afternoon, Cuomo maintained a defiant posture. He said he would continue serving as governor and defended himself as a champion of women and victims of sexual harassment. "The facts are much different than what has been portrayed," he said," The Washington Post reported.

The governor who has been celebrated over the past year for his effort handling the coronavirus, even won an Emmy for his daily press brief, answered the report by releasing statement indicating that he had been a supporter of women's rights and

Even as New York AG James stressed "this investigation has revealed conduct that corrodes the very fabric and character of our state government," she also stressed "the investigation was civil in nature and that there are no criminal consequences from their report," reported Foxnews.com, which places the governor in the Donald Trump cesspool of inappropriate and criminal behavior.

Taking a page from the Donald Trump playbook of scandal management, the governor will continue to maintain his dual persona: The front facing supporter of women's rights and the predatorial, sexually aggressive bully when possible.

Prosecutors Open Criminal Investigations

"Separately, Albany County District Attorney David Soares disclosed an ongoing criminal investigation of Cuomo by his office. "We will be formally requesting investigative materials obtained by the AG's Office, and we welcome any victim to contact our office with additional information," Soares said in a statement," The Washington Post reported.

Following former President Trump's Impeachment trial, the New York State Legislature would, similar to the House of Representative, would have to call for an Impeachment. The evidence would be presented and in order to pass the Impeachment, 76 members, a majority, would need to vote to impeach.

New York State is primarily democratic which depending on the party temperature, in September, as August is considered the month vacation break and the outcome of the criminal charges in Albany, would dictate if the impeachment process will move forward with the presenting of Articles of Impeachment.

"The state Assembly has the power to bring impeachment charges against Cuomo and aims to wrap up its own probe "as quickly as possible," according to Speaker Carl Heastie. New York impeachments start in the Assembly, and if a majority of members vote to impeach Cuomo, the matter moves to the Impeachment Court. In this case, that court would comprise the state Senate, minus its majority leader, and the seven judges of the state's highest court. Two-thirds of the court would need to vote to convict to remove Cuomo," reported The Associated Press.

Wall Street Law Firm Remains Uninvestigated

The Wall Street Law Firm, with office around the world, has remained untouched by the allegations of rape, sexual violence, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and retaliation. The allegations made by a former employee, in part, have been substantiated through irrefutable documentation, which are often considered "sources" by media.

The recent actions by AG James' office may hopefully encourage additional investigations into others who hold positions of power and for those within the law firm guilty of rape and sexual assault and conspiracy to commit murder, and retaliation, as well as the bullying, sexual harassment, violations of employment law and other provable crimes, justice may finally be served.

Schools Open/Masks On

As schools are opening around the country, the federal mask mandates are coming under fire from GOP governors who are making a last-ditch, last stand, with their state's children as the front line in a political war against the Biden Administration.

Much like school shootings, parents send their children to school with a firm belief that they will be protected against unknown threats. Threatening state funding, a penalty for a parent's personal decision to protect their child, is the tactic of a bully not a leader.

Vaccination mandates for all teachers could come down from the National Education Association, bypassing political debates and grandstanding for future political aspirations.
