The World Takes Sides

Even as the United States and global allies in the European Union, and NATO alliance nations, back Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in fighting against this unprovoked attack from Russia Forces, led by Russian President Vladimir Putin, on Day 25, the relentless bombing raids, deaths, and destruction in the Ukraine continues.

Ukraine President Addresses Full Congress

Ukraine President Zelenskyy addressed a full congress this week invoking memories of two key moments in U.S. history when the United States also suffered unprovoked attacks: December 7, 1941, and September 11, 2001.

He said, describing the Peral Harbor attack, "your sky was black from the planes attacking you," and to Sept. 11, when "innocent people were attacked, attacked from the air," reported The New York Times.

The imagery of these two pivotal moments in American History were a call to arms, as the Ukrainian President requested additional air support to fight against the continual unyielding attacks launched at Russian President Vladimir Putin's command.

The appeal and accompanying graphic video, which brought many of the members of congress to tears and resulted in prolonged applause, accomplished its purpose.

Zelenskyy continued his global direct appeal by appearing via video to the lawmakers of Israel, where he used the imagery of concentration camps and the final solution when speaking of Putin determination to reunify the nations that broke away after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.

During his speech to Israel's Knesset, the governing body of Israel, Zelenskyy, reminded the government that it was no coincident that Putin began his invasion, "was also the date on which the National Socialist German Workers' Party, the Nazi party, was founded in Germany in 1920. "It destroyed entire states and tried to carry out genocide," he said," The Times of Israel reported.

US Military Weapons Aid Supplied to Ukraine

President Biden announced, following the dramatic appeal from Ukraine President, that his administration has authorized more than $1billion in Military Aid in this past week, "these are direct transfers of equipment from our Department of Defense to the Ukrainian military to help them as they fight against this invasion."

In addition to the previous aid packages over the past month before Russian Forces advanced into the Ukraine, the Biden Administration has provided nearly $2billion since the beginning of his administration.

The White House released a fact sheet detailing the types of military transfers including the military issue personal safety equipment, body armor and helmets, for the military and the makeshift military or private citizens who would rather fight then surrender to the Russian Forces.

Additionally, the $800 million assistance package authorizes the transfer of Stinger Anti-aircraft systems, grenade launchers, rifles, shotguns, machine guns, sidearm pistols, Ammunition, and advanced weapons systems including anti-aircraft systems and anti-armor systems.

This recent Military Aid Package compliments the previous released package that includes helicopters, patrol boats, multi-purpose vehicles.

Putin Address Citizens in Rare Propaganda Pro War Rally

In a rare public appearance, and to pushback against the unprecedented economic sanctions that are squeezing the country assets, crippling his ability to fund his war effort, and causing unparalleled global financial collapse of the ruble, the nation's currency, Russian President Vladimir Putin has his government stage a Pro-War rally, in which he attended.

"We have not had unity like this for a long time,' Russian leader tells cheering crowd at Moscow event marking 8th anniversary of annexation of Crimea," The Times of Israel reported.

The global economic sanction have been calculated to set Russian nearly recovered economy back on the immediate five years, with other estimates indicating the economy will completely collapse and will not recover for at least two decades.

Biden Talks with Chinese President

President Biden spoke with Chinese President Xi-Jinping, whose loyalty to neutrality remains opaque, for two hours outlining his assessment of the Ukraine Conflict, where the United States stands, and the consequences should China move to support Russian through nay means.

As week four of the Ukraine War begins, Russian Forces continue it offensive, and as the sanctions, including those targeted against Putin's ultra-rich Oligarch advisors, the temptation for Russia is to prop up the losses by seeking assistance from China.

After the two hours, speaking the president, other than an agreement to maintain the lines of communication, and both leaders agreeing a diplomatic solution was of utmost importance to all parties, no other common ground appeared to be reached.

The President also emphasized "the implications and consequences if China provides material support to Russia as it conducts brutal attacks against Ukrainian cities and civilians."

India Buy Russian Oil

Not all nations have agreed to participate in the sanctions against importing Russian oil, especially at a time when it may be sold at bargain. India, the third largest oil consumer in the world, has agreed to purchase 3 million barrels of crude from Putin.

"Indian Oil Corp. made the purchase despite international pressure, led by the U.S. and other Western nations, to freeze Russia out of the global energy market over the incursion. India, the world's largest democracy, imports about 85 percent of the oil it uses," The Hill reported.

The White House responded to the decision during a press conference when Jen Psaki, White House press sectary said, "While we made a decision about banning the Russian import of oil, every country has not made that decision, and we recognize that.  And they have different economic reasoning as to why different countries do, including some in Europe."

With India's import's traditionally come from Middle Eastern nations, the United States sells approximate 9% of India's oil.

Vaccine Totals

Bloomberg.com has built a vaccine tracker which can be seen here. "In the U.S., 558 million doses have been given so far. During the last week, shots were administered at an average rate of 92,337 doses a day," Bloomberg.com reported.

Coronavirus Totals

The recent escalation that the United States has endured from the latest COVID-19 variant, Omicron, seems to have passed and as quickly as it blazed a trail across the nation, it has dissipated. Mask mandates have been altered or lifted in most urban areas with limited exceptions, and the population is encouraged to maintain personal protective practices. Masks are optional and tolerated. Vaccines and boosters are still considered the most effective agents against contracting the Coronavirus.

For the one-week period ending March 20, 2022, coronavirus cases globally increased by 22,905,600 new confirmed cases, bringing the total of confirmed cases worldwide to 469,644,287 people with a total worldwide death toll of 6,073,470 deaths, and a 7-day death rate increase of 34,135. (Data from The New York Times).

COVID US Totals

For the seven-day period ending March 20, 2022, the total confirmed cases rose to 79,616,279 people with new confirmed cases increasing by 204,530 with a 7-day average of 29,218 cases per day. Ukraine Determined to Fight On the Ground, In The Air

With week four of the Ukraine Conflict beginning, the images and stories from the civilian caught in the crossfire, are horrifying as Russian Forces, under the direction of Russian President Vladimir Putin has been intentionally targeting civilian areas to inflict maximum physical, mental and emotional toll of the citizens of Ukraine.

With heavy fighting and intense shelling in the port city of Mariupol, Russian Forces are now present in each of the Ukraine's major cities. Unable to take the cities, as military strategist's have deemed Russian ground forces untrained which unfortunately is the motivation for the massive air strikes which have leveled many parts of the nation, as bombs don't need organization or training.

Ukraine military and private citizens have risen to defend their nation against the invasion, with surprising accuracy, determination, and force, managing to keep the Russians from fully occupying any of the cities.

Kyiv, the capital was expected to be a simple 72-hour siege, has yet to be taken. As the Ukraine has shown a resistance not expected, as the annexation of Crimea occurred in less than one week, a speculative expectation of Russian victory would have bolstered Putin's belief of swift control.

With Zelenskyy received additional military Aid Packages from nations around the world, the greatest victory for the upstart leader and nation would be to push Putin back or into a cease-fire position. It would be a victory for all, for Europe, the EU, and the United States.

Putin, whose end game has yet to be presented, who would walk away from any peace talks in the position of victor a cease fire, may trigger a secession in the sanction package which would ultimately allow his nation a respite from the economic strangulation.

Turkey Offers to Host Peace Talks

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan this week reiterating his demands for a peace-treaty which included the Ukraine never seeking admittance to NATO. A demand that could be met as NATO invites nations to membership. As each of the two parties would be expected to negotiate in half-faith, as Putin is not a man of reason or trustworthy, agreeing to demands based on the definition of words, allows for innocent civilians to escape harms way.

Biden Reauthorizes Protections in Violence Against Women Act

In celebration of Women's History President Biden reauthorized the Violence Against Women's Act, which aims to stop violence against women, in any form, committed by any person, in any type of relationship.

Horror stories of homeowners setting up their female renters to be raped and murdered, committing fraud, forgery, for financial gain, and instigating reputational damage; partners in same-sex relationship gaslighting, and physically abusing their partner, and women, suffering online, psychological, mental, and physical abuse by their male partners, and turned away by the system, as cohorts of their trauma must end.

The trickle down of the Violence Against Women's Act is to bring awareness on abuse, and all its forms, and enlightened police agencies in every city, across every state on the signs of abuse and to stop negating the victim's story. In our contemporary world, layers, state lines, circumventing, all forms of surveillance tools, and social media are all tools of the stalker, the gaslighter, the abuser's meticulous layered plan to carry out a desired end.

"We're never going to get it all done, but we can't ever stop trying.  As long as there are women in this country and around the world who live in fear of violence, there's more we have to do to fulfill this sacred commitment.  No one — no one, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, should experience abuse," President Biden said.

Biden Announces Equal Pay Day in Celebration of Women's History Month

The President also announced the formation of March 15, 2022 as Equal Pay Day. "I call upon all Americans to recognize the full value of women's skills and their significant contributions to the labor force, acknowledge the injustice of wage inequality, and join efforts to achieve equal pay," he said.
