Black Bear Signs "The White Lotus" Breakout Star Simona Tabasco

Black Bear announced its management arm has signed Italian actress Simona Tabasco. Tabasco is best known for her breakthrough role in HBO's "The White Lotus" in which she plays 'Lucia' alongside Aubrey Plaza, Michael Imperioli, and Jennifer Coolidge.

Her performance on the show garnered her a 2023 SAG award win for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series as well as a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.


The White Lotus Review - Racy, Tantalizing, Entertaining

Prior to her work on "The White Lotus," Tabasco made her mark in the Italian film and television industry through various projects, including Edoardo De Angelis' film Perez, which earned her a Guglielmo Biraghi Award from the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists. Other notable credits include crime drama series "I Bastardi di Pizzofalcone," romance drama "Luna Park," comedy series "Fuoriclasse," romantic comedy "È arrivata la Felicità," and medical drama "DOC - Nelle tue Mani".

Tabasco is currently working on the Black Bear produced psychological horror film Immaculate from director Michael Mohan which follows a deceiving Italian convent that harbors some dark and horrifying secrets. Tabasco stars in the film alongside Sydney Sweeney, Álvaro Morte, and Benedetta Porcaroli.
