Hollywood Week: Glam, Glitz, Glitter - It’s the Oscars

Hollywood's biggest night is one day away, and throughout the week teams of carpenters, builders, painters, and others have worked to create a magical and memorable moment for the year's biggest stars and audiences around the world.

Oscars Roll out the Red Carpet

Without the movies, there wouldn't be this dreamlike moment, a mixture of enchantment and reality, a celebration of what began with an idea, somewhere, in a creative mind and developed, and through chance, fate, kismet, or happenstance, the many pieces involved making a movie, like the beautiful red-carpet experience celebrated on Oscar night, are completed behind the scenes.

Suddenly, the small idea is a global phenomenon, or a performance stands out, or a collaboration simply resonates with audiences, again and again. Audiences arrive in a season of box office instability, to celebrate and embrace your project, and then with all the magic of being a working artist, which is the real prize, suddenly colleagues are lauding your work. It is the best dream for fans, movie lovers, and artists, everywhere.

Pick The Winner - The Year's Favorite Films – Best Picture Nominees

If audiences were to choose the winners of the Academy Award, this year's celebration would be pink, beginning with 100 shades of pink and choosing ten, which is the amount of pink Director Greta Gerwig used for her global phenomenon, box office exploding, film, Barbie, which is up for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture and scored a first time producer nomination for actress Margot Robbie.

Oppenheimer earned 13 nominations, which makes it the front runner in the awards category. If the award season recognition holds throughout the night, Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer will score big wins.
