The Tower Review – An Addicting, Binge-Worthy, Crime Drama

A device is planted and immediately visuals from the entire region are on screen in Langley. Running the show in Washington, Tom Lowe, played by Mark Arnold, is preparing to destroy Iraq’s nuclear program remotely.

After the job, Harris is heading back to London. He is stuck in Dubai, as his plane is repeatedly delayed. He receives a phone call from Roman, played by Travis Fimmel, a covert operative who has another job for him. After a brief negotiation, Harris agrees to return to help destroy the entire nuclear program. He meets up with an Iranian translator, Mohammad, played by Navid Negahban. Mohammad has no idea he will be a party to the destruction of the Iranian nuclear program.

The first wave of destruction, which is like the actual Stuxnet computer worm, we find out was just the beginning. As Harris and Mohammad are preparing for the second wave. A reporter, played Nina Toussaint-White, was sent files confirming the CIA was targeting Iranian nuclear facilities. She is kidnapped and held hostage until she identifies the operatives.

Come Out Fighting Review – WWII Drama Delivers Drama, Action, Adventure

Once the Iranian government as the identification of the operatives, the second wave of the op is blown, and Roman calls Harris and explains that their cover is blown, and they need to leave now. Harris and his reluctant translator, who is haunted by the death of his son, are now alone and in order to survive must try to make it to an old CIA base in Kandahar province.

With 400 miles between them and the CIA base, Harris and Mohammad are in the race of their lives and with limited resources they must outrun, out smart, and out maneuver not only the Iraqi commander Farzad Asadi, played by Bahador Foladi, and the Tribal council leader Kahil, played by Ali Fazal, as well as the Taliban leader played by Fahim Fazli.

This sets up the second act of the film, which in true action form is filled with explosions, helicopter chases, gun fights, all set against hundreds of miles of desert, a no man’s land of terrorists, militias, and hopefuls who by ten years old are able to build bombs all leading to pivotal and climatic ending.
