"Bolt Everything Down" New from The Marvin Dee Band; Jared Dylan’s Irish Influence Produces "Double Time"

With little need for introduction in Rotterdam, Netherlands, acoustic pop-rockers, the Marvin Dee Band, are preparing to drop an epic second album, the first tune is out, recorded in the same studio Motown’s Marvin Gaye recorded Midnight Love.

Still riding the airwaves from their debut release, Marvin Dee Band the band combines front man Marvin’s background in musical theatre with a rocky edge, finding a middle ground somewhere between Freddy Mercury’s dramatic vocals, Dave Matthews Band’s complex Americana jams, JJ Grey’s Southern gospel soul, and The Common Linnets’ five-part country vocal harmonies.

Their music therefore does not lend itself well to be labelled and continues to surprise audiences across the Netherlands. In an industry currently dominated by synthesizers, auto-tune and computerized pop-sounds, Marvin Dee Band wants to return to the basics. Honest, real music, where what you see is what you get, and everything you hear is performed live.

Last year, the band released their first album, recorded live in one of the country’s most prominent small venues, Paradiso, Amsterdam. Marvin’s incredible vocal range and ability have earned him quite a reputation in the Netherlands, and the band’s impeccable live vocal harmonies have made them one of the fastest rising stars in the country! Now, they are returning with their debut Studio Album and ready to take the whole world by storm!

Georgia and The Vintage Youth - A Jazzy, Big Band, Sound is Crossing the Pond

Marvin Dee Band has started a new chapter. The band took refuge inside their own musical sanctuary in the GAM studio’s (a small cabin-style studio built by the famous La Chapelle studio’s where most famously Marvin Gaye recorded his final studio album Midnight Love) in the Belgian Ardennes. The Album was appropriately named “Changes”, after a song that didn’t end up making the final cut, but best encompasses the story of the album none the less.

Changes is about a band who no longer lets other people tell them what to do. It’s about growing up and making choices. About looking forward and daring to take a step back. About prosperity and adversity. But mostly, it’s about overcoming the voices (inside your head and in your surroundings) that tell you you’re not good enough and finding your own way.

The album will be released early 2019, accompanied by a documentary film about the band’s journey towards making this album.

The first single “Bolt Everything Down” is out now.

Jared Dylan Drops Double Time

At the age of 24, New Jersey native Jared Dylan has already made a name for himself, having amassed a library of hundreds of original compositions and millions of streams on Spotify.

His recent work has garnered the attention of some of the industry’s most notable writers and producers, having songs mixed and remixed by talent such as Danny Saber (David Bowie, Madonna, The Rolling Stones), Carmen Rizzo (Coldplay, Seal, Alanis Morissette), and Ran Pink of Fonogenic Studios (Juliette Lewis, Kris Kristofferson, Micky Dolenz).

Before leaving for college at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, Jared wrote enough original music to pique the interest of a composer/producer/musician, Anthony Resta (best known for his work with Elton John, Collective Soul, and Duran Duran).

This resulted in Jared’s first EP, In Panic, which packed a musical punch with elements of Brit-pop, 80s driven vocals and string ballads. The release of the EP and the tracks’ accompanying videos garnered Jared a strong YouTube following.

During his time at the University of Miami, Jared released several singles, earning him opening slots for artists such as Andy Grammer and We The Kings as well as national radio play; most notably on Radio Disney.

If you can’t be good, be great.  Jared’s mantra took him to Ireland in 2018 where he spent the year touring and collaborating with Irish musicians and producers on a documentary, 'Experiencing Music', being produced by Zinc Media (Bob Geldof's production company); while also putting the final touches on his pending EP, Consequence, and beginning his follow up full length, Silly Love Songs.

Following a writing session with Paddy Casey at the historic Grouse Lodge Studios, Jared says, “I feel inspired in Ireland and I feel like I am finally making the music I’ve always wanted to make.”

2019 is expected to be a year full of new music and exciting performances as Jared returns home to promote his latest creation, the Consequence EP and this is his second single taken from that, 'Double Time'.
