Premiere of "Two Bullets" at Kino-Teatr.Ru

The leading portal about Russian cinema Kino-Teatr.Ru presents the online premiere of the short film "Two Bullets", which received four awards at once at the first stage of the 41st VGIK International Student Festival.

According to the plot, an experienced hunter Semyon Teterin goes to hunt a bear, taking with him the head of the collective farm Dudyrev and the paramedic Mityagin, who have almost no experience in this matter. During the hunt, an accident occurs - a young guy who was collecting firewood in the forest was killed. The investigation cannot establish whose bullet it was. Teterin knows who she belonged to, but will he be able to go all the way and prove the uncomfortable truth to anyone?

The film was awarded for directing, leading role, editing and costumes at the 41st International Student Festival of VGIK, also received a special prize for the acting ensemble at the 29th International Festival "Saint Anna" and a special prize at the 10th International Forum of the CIS countries "UMUT" (Kyrgyzstan). In addition, the film was nominated in the category for best director of a feature television film at the 8th Student TEFI.

"My master Arkady Vasilyevich Sirenko introduced me to this work, he offered me to shoot one scene as a study work - a dialogue between a hunter and an investigator. I read the story and realized that I needed to tell this story in its entirety, - says the director of the film Gleb Prokhorov . - We worked with friends for two years on this story: from the shortening of the story and the search for an ensemble cast to the editing solution and sound design. One of the most pleasant results was that the film was warmly received in the small homeland of V.F. Tendryakov - in the village of Sheloty!

Part of the filming took place in the forest at a temperature of minus 20°C. Despite the fact that there is not a single female role in the film, the team consisted almost entirely of girls . "They worked in completely Spartan conditions - they dragged equipment, made a bear carcass, organized the work of their departments, which, taking into account the student budget, often took on a heroic character ," recalls the director.

"It is very important for us that Kino-Teatr.Ru is becoming a platform that introduces our readers and industry representatives to new names in cinema, showing the best short films from various festivals. We hope to do this more often. The short film "Two Bullets" impressed with its style and artistic component. Director Gleb Prokhorov clearly has a great future with such a first bid for victory, " says Zhan Prosyanov , editor-in-chief of the Kino-Teatr.Ru portal.
