Paramount Pictures Is Giving Aspiring Singers a Once-In-A-Lifetime Opportunity to Perform At The World-Famous Carnegie Hall On July 12th

In celebration of the upcoming film "FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS," the true story of the American socialite who followed her dreams of becoming a singer and performing at Carnegie Hall, Paramount Pictures is helping aspiring singers realize their very own "My Carnegie Moment."

Inspired by Jenkins, played in the film by Academy Award®-winner Meryl Streep, the special event will give singers from across the U.S. a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform a song of their choice at Carnegie Hall, which is celebrating its 125th Anniversary this year.

Aspiring singers can enter for a chance at their "My Carnegie Moment" by visiting the "FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS" official movie page at http://www.florencefosterjenkinsfilm.com/ or www.MyCarnegieMoment.com

The performances will take place at the Isaac Stern Auditorium / Ronald O. Perelman Stage on Tuesday, July 12, in advance of the film's theatrical release on Friday, August 12.

Set in 1940s New York, "FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS," from Paramount Pictures, Pathé and BBC Films, is the true story of the legendary New York heiress and socialite (Meryl Streep) who obsessively pursued her dream of becoming a great singer.

The voice she heard in her head was beautiful, but to everyone else it was hilariously awful. Her "husband" and manager, St. Clair Bayfield (Hugh Grant), an aristocratic English actor, was determined to protect his beloved Florence from the truth. But when Florence decided to give a public concert at Carnegie Hall, St. Clair knew he faced his greatest challenge. The film also stars Simon Helberg, Rebecca Ferguson and Nina Arianda.

"FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS" is directed by Stephen Frears, written by Nicholas Martin, and produced by Michael Kuhn and Tracey Seaward.

For 125 years, New York City's Carnegie Hall has set the international standard for excellence in performance. Its walls have echoed with applause for the world's outstanding classical music artists, as they have for the greatest popular musicians and many prominent dancers, authors, social crusaders, and world figures who have appeared on its stages.

Today, the Hall presents an exciting range of performances each season on its three stages—the renowned Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, intimate Weill Recital Hall, and innovative Zankel Hall—including concert series curated by acclaimed artists and composers; citywide festivals featuring collaborations with leading New York City cultural institutions; orchestral performances, chamber music, new music concerts, and recitals; and the best in jazz, world, and popular music.

Complementing these performance activities, Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute creates extensive music education and community programs that annually serve 600,000 people in the New York City area, nationally, and internationally, playing a central role in Carnegie Hall's commitment to making great music accessible to as many people as possible.
