Abramorama Partners with Imperative Entertainment on Global Release of "To What Remains"

Abramorama announced they have partnered with Imperative Entertainment for the nationwide theatrical release of the inspiring documentary "To What Remains," a rescue mission, which seeks to find and repatriate those Missing in Action from World War II.

The film follows Project Recover, a small team of accomplished scientists, historians, and military veterans who scour the depths of the ocean and the farthest corners of the earth, to search for and recover the remains of the more than 80,000 Americans missing in action (MIA) since World War II, delivering closure, solace, and kinship to MIA families who've gone generations without answers. Abramorama will release the film theatrically in early December timed to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

In breathtaking imagery filmed over several years, archival footage and intimate interviews with Project Recover team members and MIA families, To What Remains takes viewers inside this emotional journey to honor our fallen servicemen, from the discovery of wreckage on the seafloor in the South Pacific, to the living room of a stunned family in middle America, to a well-deserved final resting place at home.

Imperative Entertainment said, "Project Recover is a group of gifted professionals who use their talents and training to help fulfill our country's promise to 'leave no one behind.'  To What Remains is the story of heroes from one generation striving to do right by heroes from prior generations, and we couldn't be more thrilled to share it."

Abramorama COO/Partner Karol Martesko-Fenster added, "To What Remains presents a unique look at the families left without closure as their loved ones went missing, and the heroic lengths that the passionate group of professionals and volunteers of Project Recover will go to in order to truly honor the missing and bring them home. We are honored to bring this film to the big screen across the nation and around the world."

Project Recover is a collaborative effort to enlist 21st-century science and technology in a quest to find and repatriate Americans missing in action since World War II in order to provide recognition and closure for families and the Nation. What began in 1993 as the vision of Dr. Pat Scannon has grown from a grassroots effort to a collaborative partnership between Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego, and the University of Delaware.  Project Recover's team of highly-trained, accomplished professionals volunteer their time using innovative science to bring America's MIAs home. Across nearly three decades, the team has completed over 60 missions around the globe and located more than 50 U.S. aircraft associated with more than 185 MIAs.
