New York Film Critics Circle Announce New Member

The New York Film Critics Circle announced it will be adding a new member, Ryan Lattanzio (IndieWire), to vote for the 2025 awards on December 2, 2025. Lattanzio's addition brings the number of active members to 47.

The New York Film Critics Circle will hold its annual Gala Awards dinner on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at TAO Downtown. David Ehrlich serves as the 2025 Chairperson of the NYFCC, David Rooney serves as Vice Chair, and Stephen Garrett continues as the group's General Manager.

Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen to Be Honored By LA Press Club

"We couldn't be more excited to add IndieWire's Ryan Lattanzio to our ranks, and we look forward to him joining our annual voting session in early December," said NYFCC Chair David Ehrlich. "2025 has been an overwhelmingly rich — if turbulent — year for movies, there's plenty more to see over the next two months, and I can't wait to celebrate our honorees at the awards ceremony in January."

Founded in 1935, the New York Film Critics Circle is the oldest critics group in the country, and among the most prestigious. The NYFCC's membership includes critics from daily and weekly newspapers, magazines and the web's most respected online publications.

Every year the organization meets to vote on awards for the calendar year's films, among the first of the major groups to pronounce its winners. Oftentimes the NYFCC's selections pave a path for Awards Season, while other times their picks stand proudly independent from other organizations. The group's awards dinner in early January is also considered a kick-off to a new year of glamorous events in New York City.
