Biden Classified Documents

President Biden, during his trip to Mexico, addressed the newly revealed batch of classified documents were found in his former UPenn office, which dated back to his time as Vice-President.

In explaining the discovery he indicated his lawyers were clearing out his UPenn office and "They found some documents in a box — you know, a locked cabinet, or at least a closet. And as soon as they did, they realized there were several classified documents in that box. And they did what they should have done: They immediately called the Archives — immediately called the Archives, turned them over to the Archives. And I was briefed about this discovery and surprised to learn that there were any government records that were taken there to that office."

With the raid on former President Donald Trump Mar-a-Lago estate in September 2022 still very fresh, and the more than 100 sets of documents, and 100 empty Top Secret and classified folders seized in the FBI raid, the Department of Justice had no choice but to open a federal investigation to determine the extent of the sensitivity of the documents, how they arrived, and if the nation was ever in danger through the removal of the documents.

After the discovery of the documents in the UPenn office, officials were dispatched the President Delaware home and found additional documents. What has been discovered since the revelations of finding the documents is that they were discovered November 2, 2022 before the mid-term elections.

As politics effects every decision in Washington, a reasonable assumption on the revelation of the documents and the public announcement is any information would create instability in the mind of the voters and those, undecided, independents or swing voters, may change the Congressional landscape making the democratic agenda more challenging to achieve.

"CBS News reported early Saturday that "the total number of known documents marked classified is roughly 20, between the two locations." This count came before Sauber's statement referencing the five additional pages, however," The Hill reported.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed Special Counsel Robert Hur to over the investigation into the discovery of the Biden documents. The process of the special counsel will be to determine the responsibility.

Garland said of Hur, "His appointment underscores for the public the Department's commitment to both independence and accountability in particularly sensitive matters, and to making decisions indisputably guided only by the facts and the law," NPR reported.

State of the Union Address Scheduled

President Biden has accepted newly elected Representative Kevin McCarthy's invitation to address the nation and both houses in the annual State of the Union address scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Trump Rape Allegations

A U.S. District Court of Appeals is determining whether former President Donald Trump could be immune from prosecution when he denied the claims, in 2019, while president, of his accuser E. Jean Carroll, an author. The court will decide if Trump was "acting as president" and therefore immune from prosecution.

"Joshua Matz, a lawyer for Carroll, countered that Trump has a long history of making "highly personal attacks on women who credibly accuse him of having engaged in sexual misconduct. ... That tends to suggest that the motivation is not really anything relating to their job. That's just how they roll," Reuters reported.

Chinese Covid Deaths Soar

The Chinese government recently revised the original announcement that stated only 37 recorded deaths due to Covid since lifting Covid restriction on December 8, 2022.

As global health organization continue to track the airborne virus, and through advance satellite surveillance which revealed increased traffic and compared images, the extremely low and implausible death rate come under scrutiny.

"China on Saturday made a significant revision of its official death toll in the latest outbreak of the coronavirus — to nearly 60,000 deaths linked to covid-19 since December, when pandemic restrictions were lifted and infections surged across the country, up from just 37," The Washington Post reported.

China has maintained a veil of secrecy from the onset of the Coronavirus outbreak, which for the majority of the global population was January 2020, and repeatedly denounced the facts which pinpoint the virus' origin as the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

With an death toll that increases daily and more than 6.5million dead globally and the expectation of reaching 7 million more deaths in less than 2months, a greater degree of transparency would go a long way among the G7 nations when discussing the continued efforts to combat the unusual amount of variant threats of the disease.

The recent revelations by China are a signal to the rest of the world the necessity to maintain disease protocols and strict travel restrictions and quarantines. An infection rate of 64% has been reported in China resulting in 900million citizens becoming infected. If the disease migratory pattern follows the 2020 pattern the European continent should begin to feel the full effects of this new variant that appears to be causing an increased number of deaths.

Ukraine Heavily Bombed

An apartment complex in the Ukraine city of Dnipro was heavily bombed in recent days bringing the death toll to 30 civilians as Russian President Vladimir Putin continues to target the civilian population of Ukraine in his effort to retake the former Russian state.

"Emergency crews worked through the frigid night and all day at the multi-story residential building, where officials said about 1,700 people lived before Saturday's strike. The people reported killed made it the deadliest attack in one place since a Sept. 30 strike in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, according to The Associated Press-Frontline War Crimes Watch project," NPR reported.

Other cities including the Ukraine capital of Kyiv were also suffered heavy air strikes as Russian troops bombarded the civilian targets in a renewed effort as the invasion nears the one year mark. As the U.S. and European nations continue to support Ukraine in its fight for independence and freedom, Russian President Vladimir Putin is slowly building a smaller alliance with third world nations who continue to confront similar sanctions from the United States and other nations over affiliations, human rights violations, government structure and other state sanction violations.
