President Trump hosted Chinese President Xi-Jinping this week, at the White House, outside the glare of the United General Assembly in New York City, to attempt to negotiate clear terms on the economy, tariffs, and Taiwan.

The President's job approval rating, according to The New York Times for the period ending September 26, 2026, of those polled who approve of his effectiveness as President decreased by 1% to 37% and those who disapprove of his effectiveness as president increased by 1% to 60%. A slight 3% of the population polled have no opinion. Ratings are calculated weekly.

World Leaders Gather at United Nations General Assembly Summit

The United National held its annual General Assembly summit in New York City this week, as foreign leaders, dignitaries, and protestors arrived in mass. Even as the politically charged speeches held inside the General Assembly Hall, protesters gathered outside in an effort to make known certain beliefs, especially in these unstable times.

Trump Address United Nations General Assembly

President Trump once again took the podium, and as always it is difficult to know what the president may say especially when he has a rapt audience. With the 1800 seats at the General Assembly Hall filled, the president touted the strength, determination and resolve of his administration over the remaining months of his presidency to terminate, cripple and subdue any government that continues to threaten the United States.

President Trump during his speech included a list of his accomplishments including withdrawing the United States and its funding from the U.N. Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for its protection of human rights abusers and for attacking the United States for securing our borders and deporting criminal illegal aliens and withdrawing funding from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for its close ties to Hamas. He also added that the United Nations Security Council endorsed President Trump's 20-point peace plan for Gaza and officially approved the Board of Peace, which now has 30 countries on its board.

President Trump secured an agreement with Denmark and Greenland that permanently guarantees U.S. security interests in the Arctic at zero cost to the American taxpayer. He also pressured Panama to withdraw from China's Belt and Road Initiative. He also designated Cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations, and the U.S. military has treated them as such. Operation Southern Spear has dramatically reduced the deadly flow of drugs into our country, saving lives, and eliminated over 230 narcoterrorists in strikes against fentanyl-trafficking vessels.

During this speech, and with the state of global affairs, he chose to incite the Iranian leaders, who were given permission of the attend, with one his trademark large-scale intimation remarks. This time he focused directly on Iran.

Threatens Iran with Annihilation

"I have a big decision to make. Will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create a far greater country than it ever was before?" Trump told leaders at the U.N. General Assembly. "Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic and do it quickly, never giving them a chance to kill and destroy people and countries again? Do I drive them into hell with no chance of survival and no hope of future greatness or generations?,"' The Washington Post reported.

As the U.S. involvement in the ever-widening Middle East war exposed the inability, in the early days to control or operate with any precision the drones, causing the deaths of hundreds of school children,  and has lasted longer than Mr. Trump's publicized lightning fast blitz, casting a shadow over the president, and the Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Stateside the war has resulted in a growing unpopularity in both the war, the rising gasoline prices, and more critically in the republican party, who is loyal to a fault to the president. With the midterms, now only weeks away, could be the upending of the republican controlled House and Senate.

More likely, the president will walk back his saber rattling "annihilation" comment and attempt to end the U.S. involvement. With the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's nuclear program remaining the crux of the war, the peace negotiations cannot be considered a quick fix, or a band aid, something to be completed within six weeks.

Iran has, over decades, attempted to build a nuclear weapon, and over decades, the United States, Israel, and other nations, have worked to end these efforts. Attempting to force them into a subordinate, subservient, position will only serve to incite them.

Of course, that may have been Mr. Trump's motivation.

Iran President Address UN General Assembly

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian took to the floor of the General Assembly hall, one day after President Trump's aggressive bravado which forced the Iranian leader to, he explained to the general assembly, "change his remarks."

"Pezeshkian touched on Iran's nuclear program, a key sticking point in talks, describing "peaceful nuclear technologies" as an inherent right. He said Iran would not seek nuclear weapons, reiterating a long-held position. "We are ready for dialogue and diplomacy and negotiations without accepting the language of force," he said, leaving the door open to further peace talks," The Washington Post reported.

However, Mr. Trump, who has set himself up on the world stage and the only leader capable of restoring greatness to American and therefore is not interested in peaceful solutions without significant bloodshed. He is well-known for issuing inciteful statements and walking them back. And issuing a statement which can be defined as genocide of 93 million citizens, which is the total population of Iran, could cause severe stress and concern for the Iranian president.  

Should Iran react by any means, for Mr. Trump's language, choosing to strike the first blow will serve as Trump's cause to retaliate with force, again.

Israel PM Addresses UN General Assembly

Of all the global leaders that have spoken to date, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, resulted in the largest reaction both inside the hall and in the street surrounding the United Nations building.

As Netanyahu took to the podium, media reports indicted that up to 77 delegates, coalitions from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Brazil exited the General Assembly Hall. As they left, Netanyahu addressed them as "moral cowards."

With the genocide of the Palestinians in Gaza still fresh on the minds of the world, Netanyahu's extreme response to the October 7, 2023 attack, which resulted in the annihilation of more than 70,000 Palestinians, and the ever-widening Middle East war, which has now crossed over into Saudi Arabia, and pulled in the United States. And granted he was, as every nation, entitled to respond in defense. The retaliation appeared to become personal, revenge for his brother's death, Lt. Col. Yonatan "Yoni" Netanyahu, on July 4, 1976.

His speech at the UN General Assembly was criticized throughout the world and even by Israeli media, using the opportunity as a political stump speech as election are coming in October, in which a new Prime Minister, along with all members of the ruling party will be decided.

The Israeli Newspaper, "Haaretz, meanwhile, described Netanyahu's speech as repetitive and dull, saying it was mainly aimed at his right-wing base and US President Donald Trump, amid what it described as growing international isolation for the Israeli prime minister. The Guardian reported that Netanyahu pledged to "finish the job" in Gaza while delegations left the hall in protest," the Middle East Monitor reported.

As a fiery Netanyahu addressed those who remained inside the hall, the anti-Israeli activists, including celebrities, and politicians, were outside the building demanding the United States and other nations stop arming Israel, and the continuing genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Chinese President XI Visits WH

President Trump hosted Chinese President Xi-Jinping this week, as the president managed to usurp the world spotlight from the general assembly and the state of the international community drawing it to the White House, a rare visit from China's leader, and naturally to him.

While Xi did have a representative at the General Assembly, in the eyes of the world, the leader of second largest economy met with President Trump at the White House, for a formal state dinner and negotiations without the distractions of sidebars, and bi-or tri-lateral meetings.

What the leaders of the first and second largest global economies are attempting to navigate are global alliances, as China is a known supplier of military weapons to Russia, and Iran, the United States is attempting to convince China that selling weapons to Iran can be detrimental to foreign relations.

"The two leaders discussed a sweep of issues that touched on many elements of their countries' complicated relationship. Xi was expected to continue to attempt to constrain U.S. support for Taiwan, the island off China's coast that Washington has long bolstered militarily. Trump is seeking Chinese investment in U.S. manufacturing, restrained aid for Iran in its war with Washington, and cooperation on other issues. Chief among them is artificial intelligence and how to respond to the rise of advanced, and potentially dangerous, AI models," The Washington Post reported.

At the order of the President of the United States, the U.S. no longer recognizes the value of The World Health Organization. The CDC has recommended every person from age six months, including senior citizens should receive at least one shot of an updated COVID-19 vaccine, annually.  The death toll from Covid-19 has dramatically decreased, as has transmission of the virus. Even as confirmed new cases continue each week, fewer are dying from each new variants.

For the 7 days ending September 26, 2026, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases reported by the World Health Organization remained increased by 29,163 to 779,395,900. The total worldwide death toll did not increase over the past 7 days has increased by 119 to 7,116,673 deaths. The United States has stopped providing Covid data to the World Health Organization. Surrogacy Rules in Favor of Biological Parents

Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan denied an emergency petition of a surrogate, who had requested some access to the child she bore for a Los Angeles couple, and who demanded, after a prenatal test indicated the fetus had a treatable heart condition that the surrogate abort the fetus.

"After the fetus was diagnosed with the rare and often fatal heart condition, [Omar] Ahmed and [Nausheen] Gilkar instructed [McKenna] West to terminate the pregnancy, an option set out in their contract. West instead traveled from her Alaska home to Texas, where she said the child could receive medical care. She had the baby in August," The Washington Post reported.

While Kagan denied the claims of the surrogate, the biological parents are not idealists either, as the contractual clause allowed them to demand an abortion, as one would put down a pet, they chose to terminate the pregnancy as the life they envisioned of a perfect child was destroyed.

While they have since moved to Texas while the child receives treatment, their initial reactions should give pause to any state court, if parental fitness is challenged. As life has little absolutes, and should the child become ill or a burden to them, what is to say they will not exhibit the same desire to terminate the child.

Camp Mystic Owners Face Homicide Investigation

For the 27 sets of parents of the Camp Mystic families who lost their daughters over the catastrophic and unprecedented Guadalupe River floods during the July 4, 2025 weekend, each day since has been a never ending nightmare.

The all-girls, Christian sleep-over camp, located along the Guadalupe River, boosts former First Lady Laura Bush as an alumni, and had been the place where lifelong memories were made and cherished.

That too was washed away when a devastating Mesoscale Convective Vortex, essentially a massive circling cyclone of water settled upon the Texas Hill country, and in a circular motion continued to pour rain onto this flood prone region.

What has become known in the months since, is that most officials were out for the holiday weekend, and at Camp Mystic, Dick Eastland, who also died in the flooding, was watching the weather, but with the complacency of an old timer, one who had seen this before, and with a belief it will never be as bad as forecasted, refused to act immediately to evacuate the younger cabins who were steps away from a fast rising Guadalupe River. He did, however, as it has become known, prioritize the camp's equipment and horses, moving them to safety.

The Texas Rangers, an elite investigative unit, has been placed in charge of the homicide investigation into the Camp Mystic deaths. "The Texas Rangers, who have been investigating the camp, sought electronic communications by the camp's owners as potential evidence of manslaughter, negligent homicide, child abandonment or other crimes, according to applications for search warrants executed last week. "These offenses were committed against child campers — including both deceased victims and surviving campers of the flood event," Brant Johnston, an investigator for the Texas Rangers, wrote in the affidavits filed Friday," The Washington Post reported.

Reserve engineering the circumstances, present a direct correlation between the life threatening weather warnings, which occurred in rapid succession through the early morning hours of July 4, 2025, beginning at 1:14 AM, and continuing repeatedly until 5:30 AM, and the failure to issue a prompt evacuation of the low lying cabins.

The investigation has centered on the systemic failures of the Eastland Family and are specifically seeking the electronic evidence.

Except for eight-year-old Cila Stewart, who has yet to be recovered, the remains of the other 26 campers and counselors, have been returned to their families.

More than 137 people died in the July 4, 2025 floods.
