The forum was attended by filmmakers from different countries - filmmakers, producers, participants in the competition program of the film festival, researchers of national cinematographies and representatives of embassies and cultural centers of the BRICS countries. Some of them took part in the video conference format.

As Mikhail Shvydkoi, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation, noted when opening the forum, the partnership of the BRICS countries in various fields, especially in the field of cinematography, is extremely important now.

"The fifth forum is a great event. It is always difficult to hold the first, and even more difficult - the second, but when the fifth film festival is held, it means that the forum has a need for a broad and serious discussion of the film industry, "Shvydkoi said. He called on specialists who study cinematography both from a cultural point of view and directly from filmmakers - producers and distributors - to actively solve industrial problems within the BRICS countries.
