Deborah Norville To Receive Lifetime Achievement Honor At The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced today that Daytime Emmy® Award-nominated and two-time News & Documentary Emmy® Award-winning journalist Deborah Norville will receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Honor at the 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
With a remarkable career spanning more than 45 years, including three decades as anchor of "Inside Edition," Norville is the longest-serving female anchor in American television history. Under her leadership, "Inside Edition" became the nation's number one daily newsmagazine and one of the top five programs in first-run syndication.

Norville joined "Inside Edition" in 1995 after a distinguished run at CBS News as an anchor and correspondent. She also served as co-host of NBC's "Today," anchor of "NBC News at Sunrise," host of "Deborah Norville Tonight" on MSNBC, and host of the nationally syndicated "Deborah Norville Show" on the ABC Talk Radio Network. Her journalism career began at WAGA-TV in Atlanta while still a student at the University of Georgia. This fall, she returns to television as host of "The Perfect Line," a new syndicated game show from CBS Media Ventures.

A bestselling author, Norville's Thank You Power: Making the SCIENCE of Gratitude Work for YOU became a New York Times bestseller and has been published in more than a dozen languages. She serves on the board of the Broadcasters Foundation of America and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Women Corporate Directors, and the New York Women's Forum.
The Daytime Emmy® Awards have recognized outstanding achievement in television programming and crafts since 1974, honoring work in a variety of categories, including daytime dramas, talk shows, instructional programming, and entertainment news. This year marks the debut of several new categories, including Outstanding Culinary Cultural Series, Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series, and Outstanding Regional Content in a Daytime Genre.
The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards will be held as a single ceremony on October 17, 2025, and is produced by NATAS. Adam Sharp and Lisa Armstrong serve as executive producers, with Rachel Schwartz as the Head of the Daytime Emmy Awards. The accounting firm of Lutz & Carr, LLP, handles the accounting services for the event.
