Actor and Country Music Artist John Schneider Marries Movie Producer Alicia Allain

Actor and Country Music chart-topper John Schneider wed longtime girlfriend and movie producer Alicia Allain in Holden, Louisiana, on Tuesday. The private ceremony was held inside a converted barn at John Schneider Studios, their expansive studio property and primary residence.

Exclusive wedding coverage was granted to PEOPLE.com and Inside Edition.

The couple decided to move forward with their nuptials after discussions with their pastor, despite the fact that Schneider remains embattled in an ongoing divorce first filed in 2014. The newlyweds exchanged their vows "before God" and intend to make their marriage legal if and when the California legal system ever allows for the divorce to be finalized.

"To know that truly the most beautiful woman in the world was walking toward me was the greatest feeling in the world," Schneider told Inside Edition immediately after the ceremony.

"This has been a wonderful celebration, a sanctuary of love," Allain told PEOPLE.com. "Just a perfect day of celebrating with friends and family."
