Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, a fast action, high seas, comedic adventure from Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films, recently hosted its world premiere at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

Directed by Rob Marshall, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides stars Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Geoffrey Rush, Ian McShane, Keith Richards and Kevin R. McNally as the cast of sea hardened buccaneers with newcomer Astrid Bergès-Frisbey and Sam Claflin adding mystery to the otherworldly  energetic escapade.

Walt Disney Pictures, created an evening of enchantment of epic proportions and transformed Disneyland, the home of magic, mythology and mystery,as stars of film, stage and television walked Main Street’s Black Carpet to an outdoor, eighteen story, Jumbotron rising from the dark water of Adventure Land for the film’s global premiere.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides stars Johnny Depp as the irrepressible Jack Sparrow, the virtuoso of the escape, a captain without his ship on a quest of impossible odds; to stay alive long enough to regain the helm of his beloved Black Pearl or revenge her death.

As most good deeds never go unpunished, the film opens with Sparrow rescuing his old friend, Gibbs, from the Gallows, which results in his capture by the King, his escape through the streets of London, a chance encounter with a real Dame (cameo by Dame Judi Dench), rescued by his father (Keith Richards), captured by his first love( Penelope Cruz) and forced into slavery upon the deck of the most feared pirate, the unseen, but all knowing, Blackbeard (Ian McShane).

Geoffrey Rush enters the race towards the richest bounty on the Seven Seas, as Sparrow’s lifetime foe, Barbossa, the salty Buccaneer, endowed now with Ship and sailors by order of the King.  This three way race is completed by the unknown, mysterious and fearless Spaniard.

What follows is high seas hi-jinks, fierce devilish fury, mystifying and forbidden passion; all leading to a harrowing, unexpected climatic finale!
