Biden Wins 2020 Election; Secures 270

Three times proved charmed for President elect Joe Biden took to the stage in Delaware, his campaign headquarters, five days after the election, to address the American people after projected winner in the state of Pennsylvania which put him over the top winning with 290 electoral votes. Former Vice-President Joe Biden

As much as Biden is hoping his election acceptance will calm the temperature of the people, he is not walking into instantly transformed nation. The divisions are deep, the MAGA extreme are clear in their agenda, and remain dedicated to the principles of this indoctrinated messaging that creates peripheral extremism.

Biden was clear in his hope that the people will accept the results and put aside the differences and the truth is, of course, each person who voted invested themselves into the process. No one want their candidate to lose. Conveying the message of power transference has rarely been simplistic.

Now, more than ever, the sitting president is urging a civil war feeding to the fractured nation, essentially taking the antithesis of the position he has held throughout 2020 of law and order and telling the nation of followers of Second Amendment supporters a fearmongering message, that Biden et al will steal your rights, create an America that will destroy home, hearth, the foundations of democracy.

His fearmongering, which he and his family has perfected, feeds the extremism that is dividing the nation.

Does he deserve a recount? It is not a matter of his personal choice. Each state command the election laws for their state which in turn dictate the benchmarks for a recount. If the vote count falls within the mandated allowed percentages than perform the recount.

And if by a diviner rod the Trump Family magically finds hundreds of thousands of ballots hidden in states where the margins are extremely narrow than those ballots need to be examined for improprieties. Ballot waving demagoguery to fuel a mistrust in government, the process, a strong suit of the current administration needs to end.

Every four years, we the people vote to elect new leadership. In 2016 more than 65million Americans felt the sting of defeat when Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton lost the electoral vote. Loss can result in a tailspin and yet four years later we, the people, have once again taken part in the electoral process in record numbers.

Americans, republican or democrat, should feel a sense of pride in their nation. As of Sunday, November 8, 146,028,789 million Americans participated in the democrat process of electing the nation's leader. The numbers are expected to increase, making the 2020 election the largest voter turn-out in the history of our nation.

Democracy advanced on Tuesday. It is a good day for our nation, for the diverse melting pot that is the United States, and a good day for the people of the world. We need to move forward to unify the divide.

Biden Holds Narrow Lead in 2020 Presidential Race; Calls for Every Vote to Be Counted

President Trump's Ballot Waving Demagoguery

President Trump, who expected his demonization of the democrat messaging to hold throughout the election woke up Wednesday, prepared to challenge every state in the union to find and secure the "stolen" votes which he believes will put him over the top.

The President has refused to concede the race, even while top republican party leaders are distancing themselves from him, offering congratulations to President-elect Biden.

The Trump camp has filed multiple lawsuits demanding injunctive relief restraining the state board of election to stop the current counting process. Without substantiated proof of his claims, he is receiving little consideration.

His Ballot waving demagoguery resulted in the major news networks to "cut away" from the white house news press conference.

"ABC, CBS and NBC all cut away from President Donald Trump on Thursday as he spoke from the White House to make an unfounded accusation that the presidential election was being stolen from him," the Associates Press reported.

On Election night, Tuesday November 5, 2020, before the completion of the ballot counting process, President Trump took to the airwaves claiming victory.

"I've already decisively won many critical states, including massive victories in Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, to name just a few. We won these and many other victories despite historic election interference from big media, big money, and big tech. We won by historic numbers. And the pollsters got it knowingly wrong. We had polls that were so ridiculous, and everybody knew that at the time. There was no blue wave that they predicted. They thought there was going to be a big blue wave; that was false. That was done for suppression reasons. But instead, there was a big red wave," the President said during an address to the nation.

His claims of winning the election are widespread. His supporters have blanketed the nations through MAGA channels claiming improprieties, fueling unsubstantiated the ballot stealing theories.

Pennsylvania, which this media predicted would call the race, by Wednesday, Trump's family along with attorney and former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, were addressing the media demanding the voter count be stopped.

Election 2020 Round-up Dems Take House, Senate Without Majority

With 24 House of Representative races around the country yet to be formally called, the Democrats have won 215 seats and the Republicans has secured 196 seats.

For a party to secure a majority in Congress, it must reach 218 seats of the 535 seats possible. Former House majority leader Nancy Pelosi, (D-CA), is expected to return to the same position after the transition of power and the initiation of the 117th House of Congress which convenes on January 21, 2021.

The Senate remains without a majority with 46 Democrats, 48 Republicans, 2 Independents, and an undermined race for the senate majority in Georgia which will be determined in January 2021.

Georgia, which surprised pundits, pollsters, and the nation, once solidly a red state, with the growth of metropolitan cities, and the accompanying gentrification surrounding Atlanta, Macon, Augusta and Savannah, the young, dynamic, and vibrant urban dwellers are predominating democrat.

With the help of these areas, Georgia is expected to provide President-elect Biden with 16 additional electoral votes. The upcoming Senate runoff in January 2021, just two weeks before the Biden Harris transition, could provide the Senate democrats two additional seats.

As the nation is witnessing in states throughout the union, the Board of Elections of each state determine the rules surrounding their elections. In Georgia, Senate candidates need a majority of above 50% in order to win an election.

"After a prolonged count that ended on Friday night, Mr. Perdue fell just short of the majority he would have needed to win re-election against Jon Ossoff, a Democrat, sending both of them to a runoff. In 2017, Mr. Ossoff lost in a runoff election for seat in the House. It has been clear since Tuesday that Ms. Loeffler's race would be decided in a runoff, after the Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock, a Democrat, and Ms. Loeffler emerged as the top two finishers in a crowded field competing to replace Mr. Isakson," The New York Times reported.

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell handily won his reelection bid and will maintain his position as Senate Republican leader. Another highly contested race in South Carolina, ended with incumbent Lindsay Graham maintaining his senate seat by 300,000 votes against African American Jamie Harrison.

Coronavirus Number One issue on Biden's Transition Team

With the election over and the transition of power moving forward, despite challenges from the sitting president, the President-elect has indicated he will announces a transition team to address the Coronavirus, so that one day one, Americans will see a shift in policy geared toward controlling the virus through medical and science professionals.

After the Biden-Harris evaluates the science and effectiveness of Operation Warp Speed, put into place by the Trump Administration, one can be confident that if it meets CDC guidelines for effectiveness it will continue forward.

Coronavirus Totals

The infection rates of the coronavirus have continued to rise around the world. The weekly account confirms that a second wave is building with European nations enforcing shutdowns for, at minimum, one month.

The importance of maintaining personal protective practices is imperative to controlling the spread.

For the week ending November 8, 2020, coronavirus cases increased globally by 4,216,300 confirmed cases, brings the total of confirmed cases worldwide to 50,244,700, with 1,253,400 deaths, an increase of 59,300 over the week and increase of 13,900 over the previous weeks death toll.

Infections rates in the United States are also on the rise. For the week ending November 8, 2020, the total confirmed cases rose to 10,918,900 with new confirmed cases rising by 810,400. The coronavirus has claimed 237,800 total deaths, a weekly increase for 7,300 deaths. (Data from The New York Times).

As Americans are transiting along with the American politics, the next hurdle in the Coronavirus slow the spread are the upcoming holiday gatherings. While no one wants to temperature check family members invited for gatherings, it is important to understand the virus can hang in the air after one sneeze for three hours. Impress upon guests to maintain hand washing, and other virus control protocols.

Be the first line response this year to fighting the Coronavirus. If missing Thanksgiving dinner or holiday get togethers will stop, slow, or stall the spread, then consider a smaller, intimate gathering.

Remember our troops miss Thanksgiving each year to defend our freedom, let's join them this year.
