Biden Explains Ariel Objects, Shoots Down UFO Rumors

The recent phenomena of high-altitude airships which have been attributed to China's aggressive spying initiatives and possibly Russian have once again forced the national conversation to the possibility of unidentified flying objects.

The three recent slow-moving airships, which were subsequently shot down in three different regions, including Canada, were discussed by President Biden, who said, "Our military and the Canadian military are seeking to recover the debris so we can learn more about these three objects.  Our intelligence community is still assessing all three incidences.  They're reporting to me daily and will continue their urgent efforts to do so, and I will communicate that to the Congress."

Although the public is not seeing the cinematic version of UFO's made popular throughout Hollywood history, individuals of note and merit have, throughout history attested to the seeing and some even presented proof of the existence of these phenomena.

The most credible and noted induvial would be former President Jimmy Carter who, "filed a report with both the International UFO Bureau and the National Investigations Committee On Aerial Phenomena,[442] stating that he sighted an unidentified flying object in October 1969," Wikipedia states.

Politics 2024: Nikki Haley Jumps into the GOP Presidential Race

The 2024 Presidential politics are forming as former South Carolina Governor, and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, announced her candidacy this week for the Republican nomination for president. Even as she exited the Trump era presidency limitedly unscathed her candidacy for president is essentially a non-starter and, like many other worthy politicians, it is doubtful she will survive beyond the March 5, 2024, Super Tuesday primaries.

The GOP base, which is still smarting from the Trump era backlash and the recent mid-terms which saw many of Trump endorsed candidates were defeated as even the stalwart republicans choose democracy, and the tenants of democracy making the nominee choice one dedicated to democracy.

Moreover, the lack of republican female potentials, strong enough to carry states and penetrate the male dominated ideals, narrows to the pool of possible candidates to former Vice-President Mike Pence (who oddly survived his association with Trump with a single action on January 6) and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who continues to gain national media attention fueling speculation of a presidential run. Of course, the elephant in the room is the potential for former President Donald Trump to bully the party, and the voters with his pixie dust politics and secure the nomination.

Senator Dianne Feinstein Retires at End of Term

California Senator Dianne Feinstein, the longest serving female U.S. senator, has made it official and announced this week she will not seek reelection when her term ends in 2024.

Long term Southern California Representative Adam Schiff, who led the first impeachment into President Trump, has announced his intent to seek the office and is considered the frontrunner. A second candidate, Orange County Representative Karen Porter. Both candidates are actively seeking donations, and each have fully operational energized websites.

Former President Jimmy Carter Enters Home Hospice Care

Former President Jimmy Carter, 98, who served one term during which his presidency was defined by the Iranian Hostage crisis, has entered home hospice care instead of seeking further medical intervention, his family said.

"After a series of short hospital stays, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter today decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family and receive hospice care instead of additional medical intervention. He has the full support of his family and his medical team. The Carter family asks for privacy during this time and is grateful for the concern shown by his many admirers," a statement released by the Carter Center read.

Carter, born in 1924, a peanut farmer from rural Plains, Georgia, rose to the highest public office in the nation after what was then considered a traditional political track, serving first as the Georgia State Senator, then Governor of Georgia, and was elected 39th President of the United States in 1976, the first fully elected president after the Watergate scandal that forced the resignation of Richard M. Nixon in 1974 and Vice-President Gerald Ford assumed the office.

A decorated military veteran, Carter's presidency may have been overshadowed by the international shifts in ideologies, his second act, as a humanitarian have earned him more accolades than many two term presidents receive.

Diagnosed with cancer in 2015, through a series of medical procedures he survived and was pronounced cancer free. While remaining active with the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, which partners with Habitat for Humanity, a charitable foundation, age, and physical decline slowed the pair down, just a bit, and the pandemic stopped activity.

His deep commitment to Christianity was evident throughout his life. "We can choose to alleviate suffering. We can choose to work together for peace. We can make these changes — and we must," said Jimmy Carter, during a Nobel Lecture.

Texas Mass Shooting: 14 Children, 1 Educator Dead, 14 Others Injured

Michigan Mass Shooting Kills Three, Injures Five

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer called the recent shooting on the Michigan State University Campus, that killed three and injured five "a uniquely American problem."

"We know this is a uniquely American problem. Today is the fifth anniversary of the Parkland shooting. We're mere weeks past the lunar new year shooting at a dance hall [in California] and a few months past a shooting at an elementary school at Uvalde [in Texas], and looking back at a year marked by shootings at grocery stores, parades and so many other ordinary everyday situations," reported The Guardian.com.

The countless lists of mass shootings, and by federal standards, this recent shooting, does not mee the federal criteria of a "mass shooting" as four or more, excluding the shooter, need to be killed.

The reverberations of gun violence is reaching into the next generations of voters and the shift in political representation will force change across the nation as youth who are overwhelming affected by gun violence will begin to take the lead and create policy that addresses this plague.

America Under Siege: One Week, Three Mass Shootings, Two Dozen Dead

Ohio Train Derailment Chemical Spill

The East Palestine, Ohio train derailment, on February 6, that has spilled toxic chemicals into the air, soil and water, of this small northeast Ohio town that borders Pennsylvania, has just begun to receive the attention it deserves as scared residents fight through bureaucracy for answers.

"The Environmental Protection Agency has said the air is safe to breathe and Norfolk Southern, the rail company, has pledged to clean up. Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said Tuesday he was "not seeing" the need for further federal assistance, though President Biden had offered it," reported The Washington Post.

While the corporate crisis response team has clearly presented a safe message, the lack of transparency in providing the data behind the statements is heightening the doubt that the message is nothing more than a slick public relations campaign geared to assuage fears and stop further action.

The "corporate" response by both the Governor of Ohio Mike DeWine and the Norfolk Southern CEO Alan Shaw appears unified in squashing the truths of potential short and long term chemical and toxic challenges the community will confront while refusing to allow for independent testing or presenting data to validate their statements.

With Norfolk Southern, the railroad company carrying the chemicals, announcing a tiered response to the community of less than 5,000 people, including financial assistance dedicated to rebuilding and limited financial reimbursement "for every resident" adds to the suspicion behind the immediate statements suggesting the water is safe, the soil is safe, and the air is safe.

Images of the midnight black plume rising from the chemical fire, that lingered for days over the community, blanketed the region and traveled the short distance, roughly ten miles to the Pennsylvania border. Limited evacuations were issued for residents of East Palestine. Evan as the evacuation orders were quickly lifted the fire burned for days.

"The accident caused hazardous chemicals, including vinyl chloride, butyl acrylate, ethylhexyl acrylate and ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, to spill onto the ground and sent a plume of smoke into the air," reported Foxbusiness.com.

In the three weeks that have followed residents have reported seeing an increase in dead animals, and while it can not be certain until autopsies on the animal are performed to determine the cause of death, speculation continues to mount of a direct correlation between the derailment and chemical spill and the subsequent deaths of wildlife.

The CEO of Norfolk Southern Alan Shaw has pledged long-term assistant and each player in this corporate nightmare is presenting a white-knight image in order to minimize corporate responsibility. Enlisting state players to help present a unified corporate response in this blue collar town will squash the townspeople fears.

This isn't the first corporate chemical spill, Consumer Advocate Erin Brockovich, who was instrumental in exposing the Pacific Gas & Electric for groundwater contamination, in 1993, and Cincinnati based attorney Robert Bilott, who represented West Virginia client's against chemical giant DuPont, in 2010, over groundwater contamination from downstream flow.

Tens of Thousands Feared Dead, Missing, After Massive Quakes Strike Turkey

Turkey/Syrian Earthquake Rescue Mission Turns to Recovery

The known death toll from the series of massive earthquakes and subsequent aftershocks that decimated Turkey and northern Syria February 6, currently stands at 45,000 and is expected to rise.

"The death toll is expected to climb, with about 345,000 apartments in Turkey known to have been destroyed and many people still missing. Neither Turkey nor Syria have said how many people are still unaccounted for. "In many of our provinces, search and rescue efforts have been completed," the disaster agency's chief, Yunus Sezer, told reporters in Ankara," BBC.com reported.

Experts have concluded the shallow depth of the initial 7.8 quake, at 11.5 miles, and the timing of the quake, 4:17am, were the dominant factors in the exorbitant death toll. The general belief is that the majority of the region's 1.85 million residents were sleeping, with the expected number of destroyed apartments in the region, the death toll could easily reach upwards of 100,000.

Even as miraculous stories of survivors being pulled 13 days after the quake from the rubble, the rescue mission in all but two main regions has ended.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken, arrived in the region this week on a trip planned before the quake hit. Touring the area he said, "This is going to be a long-term effort," Blinken said at Incirlik Air Base, a joint U.S.-Turkish facility that has coordinated the distribution of disaster aid. "The search and rescue, unfortunately, is coming to an end. The recovery is on, and then there will be a massive rebuilding operation," APnews.com reported.
