Tye Sheridan To Star In Michael Cristofer’s "The Night Clerk"

Highland Film Group announced today that Tye Sheridan (Ready  Player One, X-Men: Apocalypse, Mud) has signed on to star in The Night Clerk, written and to be directed by Michael Cristofer (Chuck, Original Sin).

Currently in pre-production, the thriller will be produced by WulfPak Productions' David Wulf (Looking Glass, Little Women) and executive produced by the Highland Film Group.

The Gersh Agency and Highland Film Group are co-repping the U.S. sales, with HFG also handling worldwide sales, which will commence at next week's Berlin Film Festival.

Hotel night clerk Bart Bromley (Sheridan), a highly intelligent young man on the Autism spectrum, uses secret surveillance cameras to record guests in an effort to improve his social interaction skills. 


The Quad Announces Al Pacino Retrospective "Pacino's Way"

When a woman is murdered during his shift, Bart becomes the prime suspect but can't reveal that his illegal cameras captured evidence that would prove his innocence.  As the police investigation closes in, Bart makes a personal connection with a beautiful guest named Andrea, but soon realizes he must stop the real murderer before she becomes the next victim. The film will begin principal photography in Utah this May.

Sheridan has emerged as one of Hollywood's most sought after young talents and next stars in Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One which Warner Bros. will release on March 29th, and Alexandre Moors' The Yellow Birds, which releases in June. He recently he starred in X-Men: Apocalypse, and will revive his role as Cyclops in X-Men: Dark Phoenix later this year. Past credits include: Detour, The Stanford Prison Experiment, Mud, Joe and The Tree of Life.

Actor/writer/Director Cristofer is a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning playwright for the Broadway production of his play, "The Shadow Box," which he also wrote the screenplay for, directed by Paul Newman. He received the Directors Guild Award for his work on GIA with Angelina Jolie and the Writers Guild Award for his screenplay, Georgia O'Keefe with Joan Allen. Past projects include "Mr. Robot," Falling in Love, The Witches of Eastwick, Original Sin, Body Shots and Chuck with Live Schreiber.
