One week after catastrophic flood inundated the Texas Hill Country leaving unimaginable tragedy in its wake, celebrities from sports, music, television, and the silver screen have donated time, money and talent to aid in the recovery.
The National Football League and Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders together donated $2 million to Texas Governor Greg Abbot's One Star Foundation. Kansas City Chief's owner, Clark Hunt, is the uncle to Janie Hunt, one of the 27 campers killed at Camp Mystic, an overnight Christian girls camp in Kerr County, Texas, one of the hardest hit counties.

Oscar winning actor Matthew McConaughey, who hails from Uvalde, Texas, along with fellow Texans actress Eva Longoria, who hails from Corpus Christi and Hillary Duff, who spent summers on the Guadalupe river, each took to social media encouraging followers to donate through organized charities, take care of their mental health and offering condolences.
Once the enormity of the tragedy began to be realized, many understood that rallying their social media followers to offers prayers, condolences, couldn't match the scope of the need. Days after the waters began to recede, the shock of the loss, and the ravaged landscape reveled horror and apocalyptic devastation, sent residence, officials, and citizens from coast to coast reeling.

Country music superstars Miranda Lambert, partnered with her charity MuttNation Foundation to help with abandoned or orphaned pets find shelter and adoption, and country crooner George Strait has organized an exclusive intimate donor dinner and concert will all proceeds going to the Hill Country. Columbian born Shakira announced she would be donating a portion of her San Antonio concerts proceeds to Catholic Charities of San Antonio. Country music singer Robert Earl Keen has also announced he would be donating 100% of his tour merchandise sales.
Academy Award winning actor Dennis Quaid, recently spoke with People Magazine as his daughter, Zoe, 17, was working at a nearby summer camp in the same area, "The teenager is working at a nearby camp as a counselor this summer, and her dad told the outlet that she's okay. '"Hill County in Texas is a magical place, especially for children going to camp there. It's a cherished memory you carry with you all your life," Quaid said on the broadcast. "My daughter was a few miles away from [Camp] Mystic, further north. Thankfully, their camp was okay."'

Langer's Deli Organizes Help Texas Day
For Angeleno's looking for a way to help Norm Langer, owner of the iconic Langer's Delicatessen and Restaurant, has organized a Help Texas Day, and is calling on Angelenos to join him in a day of action and giving. Today, Saturday, July 12, Langer's will host "Help Texas Day," a one-day, community-wide event to raise support for families affected by the tragedy.
Donations collected will benefit the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country — a trusted nonprofit already providing relief on the ground.

Stop in at Langer's Delicatessen-Restaurant at 704 S. Alvarado St., Los Angeles, CA 90057, for their world famous Pastrami sandwich. There are three ways to donate through Cash donations accepted inside and outside the restaurant, Touchless giving via QR codes displayed on large posters (for walk-up or drive-by donors), or simple stop by the area, Drive-up donations collected curbside in partnership with LAPD Cadets.
For individuals looking to donate through organized charities, GoFundMe has verified many charities that can offer assistance. Other charities include American Red Cross, World Central Kitchen, Salvation Army, All Hands and Hearts, Americares, and Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.
