Two Los Angeles County Sheriff deputies were ambushed while sitting in their patrol car, in Compton, California, in a brazen Saturday evening ambush as a lone gunman fired repeatedly through an open passenger side window striking both officers.

The offices, one male, 24, and a female, 31, a mother of a six year old son, were attacked, at the corner of the Blue Line metro transportation stop at Willowbrook Avenue and Oak Street, at approximately 7:00PM Saturday evening. Grainy video released shows the suspect, who is still at large, positioning himself, and “opened fire without warning or provocation,” authorities said.

The metro transportation video cam shows a horrific scene as the shooter casually approached the vehicle and fires, and an heroic scene as the officer, shot, opens the door, before the video cuts out. Even shot multiple times the dedicated police officers where determined to return fire.

Crowds gathered outside the hospitals where the two officers are fighting for their lives after hours of surgery, taunted police officers standing guard with disgusting signs of hate, chanting with homemade signs hoping the two peace officers die.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said via Twitter, “To the protesters blocking the entrance & exit of the HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM yelling "We hope they die" referring to 2 LA Sheriff's ambushed today in #Compton: DO NOT BLOCK EMERGENCY ENTRIES & EXITS TO THE HOSPITAL. People's lives are at stake when ambulances can't get through.”

The current national rage over police accountability and restraint tactics which have caused the deaths of African Americans and the trend to defund police departments is escalating into attacks on police officers, and nationwide lawlessness.

Presidential candidates Joe Biden and Present Trump peach commented on the attack, which has been linked to the Black Lives Matter movement, although the organization has not issued a statement of support.

From Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden, “This cold-blooded shooting is unconscionable, and the perpetrator must be brought to justice. Violence of any kind is wrong; those who commit it should be caught and punished. Jill and I are keeping the deputies and their loved ones in our hearts and praying for a full recovery." @JoeBiden

From President Trump, “If they die, fast trial death penalty for the killer. Only way to stop this!” @realDonaldTrump

The National Fraternal Order of Police used the micro-messaging platform to voice their disgust at the scene outside the Lynwood Medical Center Hospital, “After a coward ambushed these heroes in their vehicle, "protesters" flaunted their hate by going to the hospital and chanting, "we hope they die!” There is no place for disgusting behavior like this in our society. It is time to end the baseless hate from the mob. #EnoughIsEnough @GLFOP

The two police officers are in critical condition.
