MIFF: 42nd Moscow International Film Festival Announces Winners

The 42nd Moscow International Film Festival announced the juried prize winners with The FIPRESCI Prize going to "Hilda," directed by Rishi Palam, of Great Britain. Films from Romania, Russia, and Germany also received top honors.

The members of the short film jury were Russian producer Marina Zhigalova , director, screenwriter and producer Elena Khazanova (Switzerland), British director Guy Davis.

The jury of the main competition of the Moscow International Film Festival this year included Russian director, producer and screenwriter Timur Bekmambetov (chairman of the jury), director and producer Alexander Yordanescu (Switzerland, Romania), film critic from Great Britain Brian Weiner , Egyptian writer, journalist, director, producer Mahmud Soliman , Russian actress Marina Alexandrova.

The FIPRESCI jury of the 42nd MIFF included: Amal El Gamal (chairman of the jury, Egypt), Clea Vanner (Switzerland), Susanna Alperina (Russia).

Prize of the Federation of Cinema Clubs of Russia "Thorny Eyes" - "Election Campaign", Romania, director Marian Krishan.

Prize of the Federation of Cinema Clubs of Russia "Thorny Look" for the best film of the Russian program - "About Lelya and Minka", Russia, directed by Anna Chernakova.

Audience Award - Blockade Diary, Russia, directed by Andrey Zaitsev.

InStyle magazine prize - actress Olga Ozzolapinya, "Blockade Diary", Russia, director Andrey Zaitsev.

Prize of the newspaper "Kommersant" - "Hypnosis", Russia, directed by Valery Todorovsky.

Guild of Non-Fiction Film and Television Prize - "We Don't Give Up," Germany, directed by Mark Weisse.
